Life itself is always the ultimate inspiration for creation.
took these photos with my sister @Esther__Zch in the past 3-4 years and now they become a part of the core content shaping the experience of our design.
Literally dream comes true when shooting the launch video for @VWFNDRcamera MBL 2.0 with @nuevo_tokyo and @li_hbr
Also this may be the bravest decision I’ve made this year - skipping my classes and flying from Seattle to Tokyo right before the shoot.
So excited for the release, stay tuned!
If you ask me why most of my works and photos are b&w or muted, here's the answer.
There are so much more subtle emotions and feelings can only be expressed through b&w.
I love the beauty of darkness, and the abstraction of reality. It forces you to slow down and feel something beneath.
And I'm so lucky to meet people who share the same kind of passion and love with me.
@nuevo_tokyo's products, experiments, and photos give me so much inspiration and motivation since the first day I discovered them 🤍
B&W FILM PHOTOGRAPHY → FROM RESEARCH TO PRODUCTS
For the past 10 years (+15 before that), our love of black-and-white film has shaped the digital products we create.
Our research grows from the love of shooting and developing film, and nothing compares to that analogue process. But we seek to honour its character and bring some of that feeling to digital images through our products, so anyone can feel a bit of it.
