Looking at the comments, it appears many people are piling on Joy News without watching the full analysis. They didn’t just look at signatures to identify suspected forgeries. That would be ridiculous. They found cases where the same identifiers, including names and passport numbers, and the same phone numbers appeared in different batches but with different signatures. They even spoke to someone whose name appeared in more than one batch, but who was unaware of it. When they sent the person the two different signatures attached to their name, the person confirmed only one as theirs and indicated they only signed once.

There is a lesson in here, no matter how valuable you are. You’re worthless in the wrong place and in the wrong hands.

Businesses around Baba Yara Stadium made good money last night. If Ghana premier League were functional and the traveling connection between Accra and Kumasi were more efficient, weekends and Christmas in Kumasi could bring in more millions of cedis, creating jobs.

That’s not him on the call. The station got the identity wrong. The name of the aide is Abdul-Basit Adam

This is one of the biggest problems in this country: nobody seems willing to tolerate a little personal inconvenience for the benefit of the larger society. “No jobs, so I’m going to inconvenience everyone else by blocking the pedestrian walkway with my container shop because I have three children to feed.” “Climbing the pedestrian bridge will take a few extra seconds, so I’m going to cross the highway elsewhere, even if it endangers other road users.” “There’s a queue at the public toilet, so I’m going to defecate in the sea.” There is a complete disregard for the collective good. It’s all about what I can gain personally, and what I can gain now. What we turn to forget is that rights have limits. One person’s rights should not come at the expense of another person’s rights. Your right to make a living should not infringe on my right to use the pavement. Your right to freedom of movement should not infringe on my right to use the highway safely, without having to contend with pedestrians crossing where they shouldn’t. Your need to relieve yourself should not infringe on my right to live in a clean and sanitary environment. As a people, we often make a lot of noise about being a God-fearing society. Truth is, we are not. Deep down, we are just a bunch of selfish, self-serving people who endorse what benefits us personally and condemn what doesn’t. Nobody seems to care about the bigger picture. And yet, caring about the bigger picture is precisely how developed societies are built.
“What is all this noise? We are tired.” — A resident of Mateheko-Afienya expresses frustration over the persistent noise from train passing through the area, raising concerns about the frequent disturbance and its impact on residents’ peace and comfort. [🎥: Brownsugar Brella]
