What’s your take? What is the role of the social sciences in the age of AI? One of the many questions to be explored at the upcoming @BiennaleTech led by our brilliant colleague and friend @demartin cc: @BKCHarvard @TU_Muenchen – at Munich, Germany

Let's keep this straight: Bannon did a brazen crime and got 4 months in prison and is free during appeal. I committed a Chevron-manufactured "crime" and got 6 months in prison plus 2 years of pretrial detention and was locked up during appeal. Not right. nbcnews.com/politics/live-bl…

Cyberspace - each instant in time a necker cube, how we see how we frame it.
This Bowie interview absolutely never gets old and is never any less mind- blowing. In the context of the time (1999) it’s almost unfathomable the understanding he had of what was about to happen to the world. Just incredible.

thought-leadership in the right direction!
A thread limning efforts and experiments — including current ones gathering support — in online community governance. The status quo was not inevitable, and it’s not forever.

BREAKING: It's over. Just left with release papers in hand. Completely unjust that I spent even 1 day in this Kafkaesque situation. Not looking back. Onward.👊❤️

elegant a new tech-prison industry unfolds you are a model prisoner for a crime of bribery never charged never tried to a jury proved to a judge who wanted to find you guilty and the tale goes on . . .
Tools of the modern surveillance state: one GPS ankle monitor; 2 landlines where I get calls all night; a special cell to send biometric check-in photos from home; and my own cell as a back-up. If any of these 4 redundant systems fail, I can go to prison. 17 days left. 👊❤️

As a former classmate and now law professor at the school that conferred Senator Cruz’s law degree, I reject what he expresses in this clip. Senator Cruz is repudiating the fundamentals of a just system of law and governance, and with it the Constitution’s Bill of Rights.
Ted Cruz goes on a bizarre, lie-filled rant against public defenders: "Public defenders often have a natural inclination in the direction of the criminal." Reminder: every American is constitutionally guaranteed legal representation.

Now on the last day of the last full month of my Chevron-orchestrated detention. It ends April 25 after 993 days. Exhilarated. This was a massive human rights violation that together we turned into a global triumph of will for the Amazon communities. Onward.❤️👊

Proud to have played a role in fashioning a reprieve for millions of families who would otherwise have been evicted by today. President Biden and Speaker Pelosi joined arms to get CDC to create a targeted 60-day moratorium that I argued would be legal: email.punchbowl.news/t/ViewE…
