Why Jerusalem Matters So Much When compared with the great cities of the world, Jerusalem is small. It stands alongside no great river as do London, Paris, or Rome. It boasts no port, no major industries, no mineral wealth, or even an adequate water supply. The city doesn’t stand on a major thoroughfare connected to the rest of the world. Why then is Jerusalem the naval of the earth, the shaft that propels the world ever forward? The answer can be found in its spiritual significance. Jerusalem is the home of two of the world’s monotheistic faiths, Judaism and Christianity, and is claimed by a third, Islam. Biblical prophets proclaimed that from Jerusalem the Word of the Lord would go out to the world—a Word, which would change the moral standards of all mankind. Read More: foz.sh/OAaGuc

America and Israel are stronger together. The relationship between these two nations is about far more than American aid. There is no greater need today than to support Israel with our daily prayers. Israel is under attack and is threatened with total annihilation. But we believe in the power of prayer! “Lord turn the Holy City to be a place of praise for Your Name. Cause those who would rise against Israel to stumble and break them into pieces. Establish Your purpose and guide those who stand upon the walls of Zion as ready servants to defend Israel.” To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem. Psalm 102:21 Join with us and millions of others around the world in prayer for Israel: foz.sh/prayforisrael

I ask you to join me in prayer every day for Jerusalem and the nation of Israel. “Lord of Israel, make me a watchman today for the Holy City and for the land of Israel. I pray that You would strengthen my resolve to stand for the Jewish people in private prayer and public support. Help me to sound the alarm so that others will join me in the defense of Zion. I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence. History of Iran Iran has an extensive and opulent antiquity. The region has been inhabited almost since the end of the flood. It was in about 2,000 BC that the Aryan people appeared on the scene and then broke into two basic factions—the Medes and Persians. The Aryan influence would be felt not only in Persia, but much later in European countries. Before the area we know today as Iran was ruled by the Medes and Persians, it was first under the control of the Elamites, Assyrians, and Babylonians. The Elamites, a fierce warrior tribe, were the initial rulers over the region. Elam, the progenitor of the band, was the son of Shem and the grandson of Noah. The capital city of the ancient kingdom was Shushan or Susa. It was the jewel in the crown of the Elamites and stood proudly until razed by the Mongols under the leadership of Genghis Khan in 1218 BC. Read More: foz.sh/2bqME8

The Meaning of October 7 October 7, 2023, was not merely another date in the history of the Middle East. It was a day of barbaric violence against innocent people, a day on which families were shattered, communities were destroyed, and the most basic promise of human civilization, that innocent people should be able to live without fear of murder and terror, was brutally violated. The tragedy did not end that day. The families of those murdered continue to grieve. Survivors continue to carry wounds that cannot always be seen. Those who were held hostage and those who fought to rescue them have stories that the world must hear. Read More: foz.sh/UeW6fk
