Bitcoin Art Society has acquired IT’S A JUNGLE OUT THERE, Michael Hafftka’s first SVG Bitcoin Ordinal.
Created from a handmade drawing translated into six-tone vector paths, the work is onchain code.
SVG allows infinite scalability without loss of fidelity, preserving the artist’s hand while enabling large scale physical exhibition.
Hafftka’s paintings and prints reside in the Met, MoMA, British Museum, SFMOMA and other major collections.
Something new!
I wanted to create a digital work that will combine my hand, the on-chain experience, and the option to print at any size.
The answer was SVG - it is code and it is vector based so it could be enlarged without pixelation.
I started experimenting and the first successful outcome is now inscribed on bitcoin.
IT’S A JUNGLE OUT THERE
The title refers to the thin veneer of genteelness, which when scratched, reveals the jungle we live in.
My first Bitcoin Ordinal created entirely as SVG vector code. I started with a handmade drawing, transformed it into a composition of six tones constructed from vector paths, and the result is a new, original digital drawing.
This is my first work of this kind specifically created for the bitcoin blockchain and the on-chain experience.
I listed it as a 1/1, no prints, no other duplicates on-chain. The price is 0.069 btc

today we're feeling paranoid, as around 70% of websites are at risk, according to OpenAI.
ever since AI started evolving, we've been facing more uncertainty than during all the bear combined.
in general, the smartest traders want to remain anonymous.
if i made millions of dollars, i would have no motivation to tell the whole world about it.
this whole narrative of having a huge public pnl is just a fake invention designed to encourage more gambling until you lose everything.
what i've learned over the years is that the best investments are always the most boring ones.

ordinals are in tough spot..
attention, volume, excitement is down
several key players—ordinalsbot, ord io closed up shop. not to mention magiceden..
if you are still here I commend you.
ordinals are an important movement in decentralization, art, and culture
in many ways it’s just getting started
onward 🫡
puppets, monkes, ombs, nakapunks, runestone, frogs, natcats, bitmaps, wizards, cents, weirdos, ocm, bandits, banknotes, badgers, fine pepes, pixel pepes, machines, fomojis, ordinal punks, shrooms, and so on.
a call to everyone:🗣
we must make ordinals a better place, regardless of what you choose to hold, because at the end of the day, we're all in the same boat.
ordinals will never die.

My last tweet on this subject, all you newcomers to the trenches or younger folks dreaming of making it, my one advice to you, stop looking up to retards like orange, frank, and whoever these social crypto twitter influencers are. they are not here to make you rich, they are here to extract every last dollar you own and will not feel an ounce of sympathy. you slurp them up when they aren't your heroes, they are the villains that has turned your "trenches" into what they are today. remember that.
