Uganda Arrests Man Over Alleged 38 Killings Ugandan security forces have reportedly arrested Moses Mujurizi, accused of killing 38 people and allegedly consuming their remains between 2010 and 2025. Limpopo Police Seize R9.6 Million in Suspected Cross-Border Crime Crackdown Limpopo police have recovered vehicles and seized illicit goods valued at approximately R9.6 million during a month-long operation targeting suspected cross-border criminal networks. Six suspects were arrested as authorities intensified efforts to disrupt vehicle smuggling and the illegal movement of goods towards Zimbabwe. The operations were conducted between 21 September and 25 October 2026 by the South African Police Service (SAPS), the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) and other law enforcement partners. Ten vehicles recovered The intelligence-driven operations covered the N1 corridor, Musina, Tshamutumbu, Makhado, Malala Drift, Sandquest and surrounding areas. According to preliminary investigations, 10 recovered vehicles were allegedly destined for neighbouring Zimbabwe. They included a Haval H6, Ford Ranger, Toyota Fortuner, two Nissan Navaras, Volkswagen Polo, Subaru Outback, Suzuki Ertiga and Mercedes-Benz. Investigators reportedly identified suspected vehicle-smuggling methods involving false registration plates, altered vehicle identification numbers and removed engine numbers. The recovered vehicles are estimated to be worth R3.9 million. Cigarettes and medicines seized Officers also confiscated 252 master boxes and 499 cartons of Remington Gold cigarettes, alongside 412 bottles of controlled medicines identified as Astrapain, Painagon and Stillpane. The seized goods are valued at approximately R5.7 million, bringing the total estimated value of all recoveries to R9,616,944. Stellenbosch Crash Claims Lives of Mother and Six-Year-Old Son A six-year-old boy, Berto-Lee Adams, and his 38-year-old mother, Gaynor Adams, have died following a crash on Helshoogte Pass near Stellenbosch.
