Please join me in boycotting salmon. Would you buy beef, lamb or pork if you saw 25% of the animals dead on their farms? And many of the living diseased and infested with parasites? And the farmer desperately spraying the land with pesticides to try to control? #STOPBUYINGSALMON – at North West, England

Today marks 100 years since Frederick Banting, James Collip and Charles Best were awarded U.S. patents on #insulin. They sold the patents to the University of Toronto for a symbolic $1, with Banting famously saying: 💬 “Insulin does not belong to me, it belongs to the world.”

That is how I have filled my day today!
Word of the day is 'busy-idle' (17th century): busily taken up with doing entirely trivial things.

Our endeavors were helped greatly by a hard earned lunch break, provided by the brilliant @_maincourse #yummy
