Here's the official Trailer to the documentary I made for my dearest mother.
This project THE MOTHER WHO CARRIED -Iya Mujib- means so much to me, and I can't possibly talk about this without appreciating everyone who took a part in bringing it to life.
I am genuinely grateful to the family members who agreed to do this, despite the sadness and hurt they were carrying.
I am thankful to my older sister, Rafiat Yakub, for her thorough cooperation. She took care of my mother, even when it wasn't entirely convenient.
I am also thankful to the father of my child for his support during this project. My mother trusted him, adored him, and respected him. We are grateful.
And to the team, thank you so much for being on this, I appreciate all your hardwork. Thank you.
Produced and Directed by: Amirat Yakub @_mamashade
D.O.P: @ReelbyMeeky
Little Production Assistant: My Son, Akinwande Folashade (since "you" people didn't include my baby's name in "your" end credit😂)
Watch out for the full film soon.☕️❤️
I wanted to make a documentary about my mother when she was alive, but I thought "I still have some time, let me quickly finish something else".
Unfortunately, we didn't have the time I thought we had.
But, what an honor to be tested by God over and over and over and over and over again. But I am not strong enough, and I pray for tranquility.
Despite all of these struggles, only a number of things have keep me going.
Dearest reader, it is with great pleasure that I share a bit about my family and I with you through this documentary.
Title is; THE MOTHER WHO CARRIED -Iya Mujib.
Life, is really unpredictable.
Life, is really difficult to comprehend.
But yet, Life can be beautiful.
Maybe sometimes LOL.
My mother lived.
I am happy to be her child.
We take solace in the constant remembrance of God.
And you know what they say; it's only a matter of time.
See you at 8pm with the Trailer.❤️
A BLK COFFEE PRODUCTION.🎬☕️
"You were born to do this".
This man may not remember saying this to me in the future, but he has no idea what this statement will do to me.
You guysssss!!! This boy just removed his GGMU jersey!! He just use anger and remove it now now now and I'm angry because I bought this jersey with money and I wanted to twin with this boyyyyy😭😭😭
Before OSHODI (the documentary), I'd never submitted my work for Festivals.
And I remember taking the risk of also submitting it to Festivals in Canada and in the U.S.
Pleaseeee, if you are in Enugu and you have the chance to go see OSHODI, please attend the Festival and support me.🙏
This means so much to me, and I am excited about my future because God is in control.
He owns me, He will give to me so much and I'll be satisfied.
OSHODI (the documentary) is so interesting! I cannot wait for you to see it.🫶❤️
Certainly, there's no limit to how much one can dream.
Dear Multichoice and AFRIFF, thank you.
There was a time I didn't think I would ever get a chance anywhere in my life.
May God forgive me for not seeing the good He's created (me, actually).
AFRIFF said NO to the OSHODI documentary this time, but says YES to giving me something else!
Let's get it.💃
