Some guy made it his life's work to make a ML library and I'm using it to make a virtual doggo dance with my webcam and only half sorry about it.
trying out nix (the os) for the first time and it is really special. brings the magic that git first brought to software to the operating system.
First try of @zeddotdev and it's showing a lot of promise. Feels "juiced" the way a polished game would. Smooth and zippy. Aesthetic, with comfortable defaults straight out of the box. Vim cmds feel like more of a part of the editor UI than a vscode ext might.
I'm fairly sure that this is simultaneously one of the most educational and engaging videos on youtube right now.

This is really great advice. I had a similar realisation recently that this can be applied to fiction as well, in the context of exploring technical possibilities related to your current thoughts.

"Simply point the application at the folder containing your files and it'll load them into the library in a matter of seconds."
Surprised at how well @ai_lalal can separate individual instruments, preserving reverb etc. for the track. It'll be cool to see how this type of tech changes the way musos practice parts and producers work as it continues to improve.
Someone should make a multitrack recording app designed to respect the mobile form factor – fullscreen vertical layout for each track, swipe/gesture between them, tap to record, slide up or down for track volume.

beware the tyranny of the microcosm you’re in — school, club, company, industry, neighborhood, city, country — make it a point to zoom out and see the bigger picture without having to abandon your small world all together
