It was a great conversation between @edjgeek and @_maxday. Thanks for mentioning article "Improving Lambda performance with the help of AWS Lambda Profiler Extension for #Java" (dev.to/aws-heroes/aws-lambda…).

Hey! Lambda timeout is 15min max. Not sure that would be the perfect use case for server sent events? What are you trying to build? There is a nice integration with API gateway and websockets if that would work for you

Start/stop it on demand from an AWS Lambda function you’ll be forgiven
aww thanks for the mention @loige
Yeah we looked at tinygo, unfortunaly it was not a great fit for our use case (mainly because some packages are not yet supported, see tinygo.org/docs/reference/la…)
That said, I think it clearly deserved a spot in lambda-perf! I guess I found what to do this week-end :) thanks @loige

Okay you probably don't need Rust in Lambda anymore, sorry for the confusion everyone.
Just javascript and LLRT:
I'm excited to see LLRT finally open for everyone to try!!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
Lambda must either build a runtime optimized for their online scaling model, or they need support some type of multi-concurrency.

Let's go 🚀🚀
New llrt runtime has some pretty nice cold start performance.
Will we see this as a managed runtime in Lambda??
My pleasure! 😇
I opened an issue yesterday on @_maxday's Lambda Cold Starts benchmark repo yesterday to add the new Low Latency Runtime for JavaScript (LLRT)...
He added it less than 24 hours later!

Ahah :) it should be live tomorrow on lambda-perf ❤️

Every morning, after ☕, I load this page to see how much faster Lambda got in the night: maxday.github.io/lambda-perf… @_maxday
Here is a simple example: play.rust-lang.org/?version=… (don’t forget to enable the backtrace in the playground options)
