And for Men, prostate cancer is the #1 cancer killing Nigerian men. Black men of West African descent have the highest rates in the world. Truth: there’s little you can do to prevent it. But you can catch it early, when it’s still curable. Do this: • Start PSA test + DRE at 45. At 40 if your father or brother had it • Repeat every 1–2 years • Don’t skip the DRE out of pride. 15 seconds vs your life Go now if you have: • Weak or interrupted urine stream • Straining or not emptying fully • Waking up several times at night to urinate • Blood in urine or semen • Persistent back, hip or thigh pain Skip: agbo “prostate cleansers”, high-dose vitamin E (a large trial found it raised risk). Our men die late because they check late. Book the test today. DRE means Digital rectal exam. “Digital” as in finger, not electronic. The doctor puts on a glove, uses lubricant, and inserts one finger into the rectum to feel the prostate, which sits right against the rectal wall. He’s checking for size, hardness, lumps, or an irregular surface. A healthy prostate feels smooth and rubbery; cancer often feels hard or nodular. It takes about 15 seconds. Uncomfortable and awkward, not painful. Many men shy away from this test but it’s important, health first remember.
Cancer is a big problem in our society and it almost seems like anyone can get it no matter how careful you are, but you can also do some things to protect yourself and loved ones. Cut down: • Charred suya, the black bits, processed meat, sausages and hot dogs used in shawarma etc • Mouldy groundnut, maize, egusi • Reused frying oil • Sniper-preserved beans, formalin fish • Alcohol (shayo sweet but think about the long term complications) and smoking • Firewood & generator smoke indoors • Skin lightening creams Also do this: • Test for Hepatitis B and vaccinate if negative, biggest cause of liver cancer in our society. Test for Hep C too (no vaccine, but it’s curable now with treatment) • HPV vaccine + screening for the women you love, the biggest cause of cervical cancer in our society, and a rising cause of throat cancer • Grill beside the coals, not over them Protect yourself. Protect your family.

Leading a remote Web3 team is nothing like managing a traditional office. If you try to micromanage a global team, you will fail. If you rely on “presence” instead of “output,” you will fail even faster. Here are 3 things I wish I knew earlier: 1. Trust is the Operating System. You can’t watch people work, you have to hire people who want to work and optimize for autonomy. If you have to check in every 2 hours, you hired the wrong person. 2. Documentation > Meetings. In an office, information spreads by osmosis. Remotely, it spreads by documentation. If it’s not documented, it didn’t happen. Async communication is the only way to scale across time zones without burnout. 3. Output is the only metric. I don't care when you work. I care what you ship. We do weekly demos. If you have nothing to demo, you didn't work. Proof of work isn't just a consensus mechanism; it’s a management philosophy. Leading remote teams is about trust, clarity, and consistent output… not surveillance.

My elder brother went to this same school and studied the same course. And somehow, eight years later, I’m defending the exact same project he did in his final year. I didn’t even choose the topic, it was assigned to me.
What’s the lore behind your choice of university?
