Long read: Normally my posts are satirical or at least joking in a way, but this one is somewhat serious for a change There are a lot of people on the TL that flex their $100-$300k monthly PnLs for the month, which is cool, don’t get me wrong, but I’ve found that I’m content with a consistent $10-$15k per month. Sometimes I make more than that but I’ve not once made less than $10k in a month since I deposited my first $300 in December of last year. Until this month. I’m not in any way bragging about making that in a month, as I have numerous friends that are pulling anywhere from $80-$200k. I just found what number that I’m personally comfortable with. However, in full transparency, this month has been a weird one. I’ve found myself breaking all of my trading rules and DCAing down on constant slop and resulting in massive losses that I normally wouldn’t hit, which has sent me into spirals of trying to make it back quick, which results in more loss. The first step of getting back to being a good trader in the space is to take a step back, realize your mistakes and learn from them. The second step is to re-ground yourself and develop a good headspace once again. It doesn’t matter what your rules are, if you’re not in a good headspace, 9 times out of 10, you’re likely not gonna be making good trades. I took some time away yesterday to note all of the mistakes that I’ve made in the last few weeks and now I’m gonna spend the next week or so getting grounded and back in that good headspace. I’m grateful to still be in the net positive this month however I’m looking forward to absolutely locking in next month and picking back up what I left off I’m hoping that the right person reads this. I’m hoping it’s the person that is down bad this month or at least not in the same spot that they were a couple months ago, and I hope that that person at least takes away from this what they should do, whether that’s taking a break from charts, reassessing their trading style or even just grounding themselves before buying into another coin or realizing another loss
