American Eagle’s $AEO foot traffic fell sharply in the two weeks after its Sydney Sweeney “great jeans” ad stirred controversy, per Pass_by data shared with Forbes.
For the week starting Aug. 3, visits were down 8.96% YoY—the steepest decline since before the campaign—after falling 3.9% the week prior. That’s a sharp reversal from the steady gains seen earlier in the summer, including a +5.91% lift the week of July 6. Competitors like Abercrombie (-3.3%) and H&M (-4.9%) also saw dips.
Interestingly, while the campaign drove a web traffic spike, Adweek says sales have been flat

Shoutout to the team that built artificialanalysis.ai/ . Really neat site that benchmarks the speed of different LLM API providers to help developers pick which models to use. This nicely complements the LMSYS Chatbot Arena, Hugging Face open LLM leaderboards and Stanford's HELM that focus more on the quality of the outputs.
I hope benchmarks like this encourage more providers to work on fast token generation, which is critical for agentic workflows!
