We’ve been in exile for much longer than the last 24 hours, or the last few years. And we have been in exile, like Israel of old was, because of our centuries of oppressing the least of these, idolatry of many isms like consumerism, & unholy political alliances.
A lot of Christians put their eggs in the political basket. Put way more than their eggs! But after the changes that took place in the US last night, all of sudden it’s, “We don’t put our trust in politics, but in the Lord.” I would have never guessed such just a few days ago.
Many groups will speak this way to draw ppl to their group. But this doesn’t mean El-Sayed gives any commitment to the Muslim Brotherhood. It’s like Neo-Nazis believing electing a conservative politician is a win for them. But that doesn’t mean the conservative will turn Neo-Nazi
Fact checked as true. The Muslim Brotherhood considers this a win and a model for future infiltration.
Don't vote for Muslims. I know how that comes across to progressive minds but it is a long term danger for all people, including progressives.

It’s remarkable how difficult it is for so many people to acknowledge that societal politics rarely comes down to just one or two issues.
It’s always good to verify stats. Of course, he forgot to also put that, prior to 1800, the white population was infinitesimal.
In 1970, the White population in Texas was 89%.
In 2000, it was 50%.
Now it’s less than 39%.
Demographics is destiny.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
In 1970 the White population included Hispanic people because surveys in Texas didn't ask about Hispanic ethnicity as a separate question from race. In 2000 the White population for just race was 71%. Today White is 74% and "White, not Hispanic" sorted for ethnic origin is 37%. census.gov/quickfacts/TX
As far as I can tell, Basham is reading this data wrongly. It is not saying 17% of the group “white evangelicals” voted (and, this, 83% of WE didn’t vote). It’s saying that white evangelicals made up 17% of the total vote.
In looking at causes for tonight’s results, one important data point—in the 2022 midterms, around 24% of white evangelical Christians (the most reliably conservative bloc of religious voters) voted. In 2026, only 17% did.
In other words, a significant amount of America’s salt decided not to have flavor when it comes to elections. And when that happens, it fails to preserve.

To think there are more than white evangelical Christians. Or, what if white evangelical Christians were fed up with what’s going on & just lost the motivation because of what our President has done…
🚨 THE CHURCH STAYED HOME!
White evangelicals dropped from nearly 25% of voters in 2024 to just 17% last night!
Where was the SALT AND LIGHT?!
We cannot keep surrendering our influence through apathy and then complain about the darkness overtaking our nation!
WAKE UP, CHURCH!
We have so much work to do in America.🙏🏽
The problem w/ many Christian voices on here is that they approach politics like many (they?) approach forgiveness:
“It’s ok. I can say what I want & how I want. I can ask for forgiveness later & all will be forgiven.”
It’s not genuine bc the jeers & dehumanizing continue.
If we remain unwilling to listen to & learn from our Black brothers & sisters, I believe we display our commitment to pre-Civil Rights America.

The earliest followers of the Messiah were thoroughly Jewish. This is a pretty poor argument.
And I’m not a dispensationalist.
