I just used my fingerprint to log into my Apple computer; I used facial recognition to pay for an e-bike on my Apple phone; I ordered a repeat prescription on the NHS app that holds every detail of every illness I have ever been treated for on a central server...1/

Something mega chutzpah about @Nigel_Farage billing himself as “farmer v Starmer” given so many of their current problems are caused by his big achievement namely Brexit

Les Autrichiens n'ont pas toujours brillé dans leur combat contre l'extrême droite, mais le dernier post de leur compagnie nationale sur Twitter est splendide !
Bravo @_austrian pour votre décision et la classe de son annonce.

Yep.. one of the big claims when we left the EU was we could “ free trade” with the rest of the World…. Well, now we will see what that means. In the US case it will mean free to attract higher tariffs and so making our products expensive and uncompetitive and export way way more difficult. This is a heavy price.

Waking up to the news that America has almost certainly chosen a convicted felon who lies every time he opens his mouth to steer it for the next four years. Probably going to complete my watching of the Sopranos rather than tune into the results - Tony would have been a Trump guy

I’m hearing there are many long lines to vote across Pennsylvania on college campuses because of record youth voter turnout.
PENNSYLVANIA STUDENTS: IF YOU ARE IN LINE TO VOTE STAY IN LINE TO VOTE YOU CANNOT BE TURNED AWAY SO LONG AS YOU ARE IN LINE.

We now have 44 KNOWN human cases of H5 Bird Flu
Don’t be mistaken. This is *Known* diagnosed cases
We are barely testing - particularly humans - likely the true number of infections is hundreds (thousands?)
We are failing daily to stop the next pandemic
Maybe Nov 6…
.@CDCgov has updated its #H5N1 #birdflu human cases table, which it now has at 44 in 6 or 7 states.
The table captures all the CA cases, but doesn't reflect 3 presumptive positives WA state reported. 1 of those may be jurisdiction pending; 1 may never be confirmed. cdc.gov/bird-flu/situation-s…

That's a coincidence, I grew up under the Tories, I saw what happened when politicians are in it for themselves, when they use public money as their private piggybanks, when they promise the earth, and pollute not just the air but the whole political atmosphere
Left: Kemi Badenoch, "I grew up in Nigeria, I saw what happened when politicians are in it for themselves, when they use public money as their private piggybanks, when they promise the earth, and pollute not just the air but the whole political atmosphere"
Right: Nigerian news chat show tears into Kemi Badenoch
Badenoch criticising Nigerian politicians for being in it for themselves when that's been the behaviour of the Conservative party 🤷♂️
E.g. Public money for private piggybanks? What about Rishi Sunak and helicopter flights, plus the billions in VIP fast lane PPE contracts?
Promising the earth, what about Brexit and promising prosperity after leaving the EU?
As for polluting the atmosphere, what about the water companies dumping sewage in our rivers lakes and seas?
Everything she accused Nigerian politicians of, the Conservatives have done the same to the UK

FUN FACT: Long lines in Democratic Ohio counties *manufactured* by GOP officials is *exactly* how Republicans stole Ohio in 2004 and with it that whole election.
Feel free to Google the 10-hour voting lines in Cuyahoga Country engineered by Ginni Thomas friend Kenneth Blackwell.
