A functioning democracy should never require citizens to glorify politicians for fulfilling their official duties. Roads, hospitals & schools are public obligations, not presidential gifts.

It’s 2026. How about we let women do whatever tf they want with their lives, and their choices?
Without judgment, unsolicited opinions, or endless expectations.
Kenyan media personality Janet Mbugua has weighed in on gospel singer Mercy Masika’s Becoming a Wife masterclass.
She questioned its timing amid rising concerns over femicide, gender-based violence and sexual abuse in Kenya.
Janet challenged the church to speak up about violence against women, arguing that organising marriage masterclasses while women are fighting for their safety and justice seems ironic.
The debate has sparked mixed reactions, with some questioning why there is no equivalent masterclass for men, while others argue that issues such as endometriosis and women’s health deserve more attention.

Brown as a colour is so underrated and overlooked. Coffee. Chocolate. Rich soil. Leather. Tree bark. Autumn leaves. The pages of old books. Brown eyes. What a lovely colour.

Selective tolerance is interesting. People will passionately defend freedom of choice in principle, but become hostile when others exercise that same freedom differently.

My date of birth feels like a celebrity to me. Whenever I see it written somewhere random, like on a movie poster or a milk carton, I'm like omg there she is! Ugh, she looks great :)

I never dodged reading out loud in class. I was praying the teacher would pick the longest paragraph so I could show off my vocabulary and pronunciation. 😭😭

I don't mean to invalidate anyone's experience but I disagree. In Africa? In an era where 'yansh /nyash' is a great asset? Literally. I've been bullied for being too skinny, right until now, the aunties tell me "zaa ndio upate hips" "hii mwili yako, pengine tu mzungu"

More than 16 years of education, yet no one taught us how to console a grieving friend or what to say when someone we love is at their lowest.

Litter isn’t just an eyesore; it’s a threat to wildlife and the environment.
The KWS vet team recently rescued a zebra at Mount Elgon National Park that had somehow gotten a slipper stuck around its leg.
It wasn't just an odd sight, it was doing real damage, cutting into the skin and affecting how the zebra could move.
The good news? Our team swiftly stepped in, safely removed it, and the zebra is now recovering well.
The not-so-good news? This is more common than you'd think. Litter; flip-flops, plastic, rope, and wire doesn't just sit around looking messy. Wild animals walk through it, get tangled in it, and it can even become life-threatening if it's not spotted in time.
So here's the ask: Next time you see litter, do your part; pick it up where you can and dispose of it properly.
Small actions. Big difference.

Macklemore just like The Weeknd, Coldplay, Green Day etc chose to take a side and stand with humanity by supporting Free Palestine. They risked their careers for justice.
When we told our Kenyan artists to stand with Kenyans, they retorted "I can sit at a table with your oppressors and still remain fully African, fully critical, and fully myself. Presence is not submission."
Wengine wanataka akuwe dictator.
We should deplatform Kenyan artists who side with the oppressors.
