π¨ BREAKING: A man is fighting for his life after being shot near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, south-east London, as armed police hunt the gunman.
Officers were called to Frances Street shortly after 8pm on Thursday following reports of gunfire.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was found suffering from gunshot wounds. Police administered first aid before paramedics and London's Air Ambulance arrived.
He was rushed to an east London hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains under police guard.
No arrests have been made, with firearms officers and specialist detectives investigating the shooting.
