Got curious about Apple’s container cli. Ended up making something.
Outpost, a @laravel package.

I'm having Claude try and cancel my Adobe sub. This may be the most ambitious task I've ever given to it.
The FBI continues to warn about two critical security flaws in PHP, a programming language used to build many websites and online services. Attackers could exploit these vulnerabilities to break into systems, putting sensitive information and business operations at risk. Security updates are available and should be applied immediately.
If you are a business owner or website operator, check whether your systems are affected. Contact your IT support team, website developer, or hosting provider for help identifying vulnerable systems and applying the necessary updates.
The FBI urges organizations to take the following steps now:
➡️ If an immediate update is not feasible it is recommended that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated.
➡️ Immediately update affected PHP installations following the guidance on php.net. Inventory where PHP runs in your environment, prioritizing internet-facing systems and vendor products that bundle PHP.
➡️ Monitor web servers for suspicious activity, including PHP processes unexpectedly launching command shells or downloading files. Ensure appropriate process-monitoring capabilities are in place to help identify potential exploitation.
➡️ If you find signs of compromise, isolate affected systems, preserve your web server and PHP logs, and report it to your local FBI field office or ic3.gov. Those reports help us identify the actors involved and warn other organizations before they become victims.
For the latest information on these vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619), follow PHP’s announcements on php.net, CERT-EU Security Advisory 2026-018, and CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog.

If you studied economics you would know this scenario has like 0% of actually playing out.
I know what this guy feels very well, but it's not like I can control how the world changes
Do you want me to instead lie about where I think things are going or tell you what I think?
I prefer we could keep continuing making cool software and people paying for it, but I also studied economics and wonder why would they pay for it if they can pay OpenAI $20/mo instead?
I'm not, I'm not the founder of OpenAI or Anthropic, I'm not benefiting from this
I'm just telling you what I feel is happening
If anything it only disadvantages me because people will cancel my apps too!
In transitionary times, it's better to spot the big waves early and adapt, than try ignore it, fight it, because you can't fight nature
I'm an eternal optimist but also honest
Vibe coding is for disposable software. I built an itinerary app for an upcoming trip. I’ll never use it afterward.
it’s clear we need to retire the term vibe coding because the models now produce better architecture & way more coherent code than an average software engineer.
perhaps even better than top software engineers too because unlike a human, ai has a much much larger context window.
this ain’t vibe coding at all. it’s precision engineering.
Small percentage, and for a very brief period. The novelty will wear off quickly. Most normies still have other jobs.
A big % of tech people don't get it
Normies won't ask "build me software"
They will ask "I have this photo and I want to manually edit it" and it will spin up a Photoshop clone
They will ask "I need to know if sales are going up or down this quarter from all different ecommerce platforms we use" and it will spin up an analytics dashboard connecting all APIs with scheduled crons that keeps it up to date forever
They already do!
They won't know they're building software because their AI app/agent will do it for them
And then they'll stop using most regular software!
Outside of devs, I think we’re severely overestimating the amount of people that want to build and maintain their own software. Vibe coding is one thing. Keeping a project healthy requires a dedicated team. As long as there is software in the world, there will be engineers.
I feel like apple is salivating watching these dots and bots and muses. Siri will win. It’s already on every persons phone. They just need to wait and see what works and what doesn’t.
Claude: Let me write the spec
Me: okay whatever
Claude: Okay let me write the implementation
Me: yea that's fine
Claude: Now let me write the plan
Me: JUST BUILD THE F*****G THING!
hey gang. just code however you want. literally no-one and nothing is standing in your way of reading/not reading the code writing/not writing the code. you will not get left behind from anything. you are still a great engineer regardless. have fun and build cool stuff the way you want to.
.@aarondfrancis I like what you’re doing with HomeOS, I just don’t know if that’s the name I’d land on. 😄 Hearing it multiple times in a row, definitely started to sound… off
I can't believe people don't read the nutrition facts (code) anymore. How do you know what you're putting into your body (codebase) if you don't read every line of it? You should be monitoring every meal (PR) to make sure you know what you're eating (deploying).
☺️
This is actually pretty interesting as a concept. Might mess around with something.
If we really think English is the new programming language, why don't we get serious about it?
Set up a project, that's a bunch of markdown files in directories. Still have "functions" and "procedures", but have them all be written in English. Refer to other bits in other markdown files. Maybe using a bit of legalese-style wording. Eg. "human operator of the system (hereinafter referred as User)".
Then run an agent over the entire thing, and have it produce a finished artifact - codebase in some language or compiled, whatever. Record source-maps from markdown to the artifact, use them for cache busting later.
Then to modify stuff, instead of prompting, edit some of the markdown instructions. A dev server detects the changes, and instructs an agent to update the code and redeploys.
The funniest bit is, the IDE would be back in style. 😂
find me a team that heard they're users more than @ClaudeDevs. you can't.
