The pub meetups organised by @AnnaRCusack are great - it was lovely to meet new people, meet people irl for the first time, and see people I had met at a previous one. Also I had my first mince pie of the year!

On yesterday's trip to @UkNatArchives I used the time until my document order arrived to visit the fascinating exhibition "Treason: People, Power and Plot" curated by @euanroger @TheGozfather @Dentiloquy @NeJohnst . If you have a chance to see this, I can only recommend it!

Oh and... I know that in the great scheme of things it is not really significant, but: why would William Joyce - aka Lord HawHaw, nazi collaborator, have a signet ring that can't actually be used to make an impression in a seal? Is it just meant to lend a pretend air of grandeur?
