We started @HackerRank a decade ago with the belief that skills matter more than pedigree. That’s still our core ethos, but the skills required to do the job have changed. So, we're tearing down our past and reinventing the company from scratch. Meet Chakra - the future of hiring.

We started with a podcast about getting to Japan on points. Episode one ran 1 hour 44 minutes 🤯 Somehow, 100,000 of us are now on YouTube 💪 The community has met in person across multiple cities and spent countless hours on The Great Indian Lounge geeking out over every card, every hotel and every loyalty program out there. Thank you for being part of the journey. Dil se shukriya! 🙏 We're just getting started 🚀 Cheers, @dhimantn & @aadil

For years, we've crafted real-world problems and written verifiers to evaluate humans' software engineering skills. Now we're harnessing that expertise towards models and harnesses (no pun intended). Introducing HR-Bench, a long-horizon benchmark that tests frontier models on real-world engineering work. Why a new benchmark? Unlike most, which use canned problems or public repos likely already in the models’ training data, we wrote every task from scratch to reflect the kinds of problems companies actually face. These problems are gnarly, like GDPR compliance, enterprise readiness, migration, etc., and agents often struggle with them. As @RichardSSutton says (paraphrased), "It's easy to make a hard benchmark. It's hard to make a realistic one." We've strived to make that happen. Meet Chakra, our agentic interviewer built to help companies hire the next-generation of knowledge workers. Chakra can spin up any canvas you want and give candidates a real-world problem to work on. This way, you get to see how someone actually works, and evaluate their judgment, critical thinking, and how AI fluent they are. Read the full story here: techcrunch.com/2026/10/05/ha…

Amazing to see this @AyushkWadhwa! More power to you and Team Owled! 🚀
Pretty cool moment for us at Owled. We helped launch Apple Pay in India, taking this video end-to-end, from planning and strategy to production and final execution. A lot went into getting this one right, and the team absolutely killed it. Big kudos to everyone at Owled who made this launch happen!

The work of a software developer has changed. More and more companies are evolving their hiring process to keep up with that. Hear from Soumya, who runs APAC university recruiting at @Uber, on how she is hiring for the agentic era with HackerRank.

AI has changed how we build & how we work, but most hiring processes are still stuck in the past. Not at @cerebras. Super excited to share the work we have been doing with @cerebras to change the hiring process for the agentic era. Here are the 3 dimensions of change: * Tasks: Real-world tasks vs. standard LeetCode-style puzzles * Evaluation: AI fluency, judgment, and engineering fundamentals vs. just code correctness * Candidate experience: Agentic development environment with AI vs. IDE Thank you for partnering with us. There's a chip on your shoulder ;)

Everyone wants more compute. But as @cerebras puts it, if you’re actually building the compute, the bottleneck isn’t infrastructure, but people. This is how they’re hiring AI-native engineers, and why they trust us to help them do it:

We spent 10 years helping companies screen developers with take-home tests. But with AI, anyone can ace a take-home. So we rebuilt the stack. Meet the new hiring process.

HackerRank Orchestrate is back this weekend for its fourth edition. Each edition has grown in both scale and quality, and this time we have a whopping 30,000 builders taking part from around the world! So we've upped the stakes as well. There’s a $2,400 cash prize pool for the top five finishers. And the three highest-ranked builders using @OpenAI Codex will receive $10,000, $7,500, and $5,000 in Codex credits, respectively. Don't watch this one from the sidelines. Come build: hackerrank.com/hackerrank-or…

Sarvam's head of engineering says there will be more engineers in the future and the hiring process is going to be more real-world with an emphasis on their understanding vs just grinding leetcode. Fully agree and thank you @SarvamAI for being a @hackerrank customer 🥂
Sunny Shah (Head of Engineering Sarvam) answers two questions: 1) Are there going to be more engineers or fewer engineers in the future? 2) Is DSA still a relevant filter in 2026?
