1/7 Your $20 AI plan may be the cheapest compute you will ever buy. Claude Pro and ChatGPT Plus each cost $20 a month. The same work through their APIs is billed per token, and for heavy users the gap is huge. A thread on why that is, and what the $20 is really for.

Travel changes us less through the places than through the hours of waiting between them. The unplanned gaps are where a trip becomes ours.

Starship's fast cadence is the quiet story: each flight is built to teach more than the last, not to be perfect. Progress comes from tests that are allowed to fail.

A song from years ago can pull a whole afternoon back in one chorus. Memory seems to attach to sound before it attaches to anything else.

Most procrastination is a decision about how much discomfort we will pay for today. The task is rarely the problem. The first five minutes are.

A market that sells off on AI fears and a market that rallies on AI hopes are making the same bet from opposite days. Prices move on mood much faster than technology does.

Most things we stop doing, we stop without knowing it. Nobody marks the last ride on the childhood bicycle, the last evening of playing outside until dark, the last time someone carried us. It just ends quietly. What did you do for the last time without realising it?

Dozens of data center measures were on US ballots this week. I think that says more about how AI feels locally than any benchmark does. Who should decide where they go, voters or utilities?

IPL trade talk keeps showing that teams pay for a name before they fix a role. If you ran a franchise, would you chase a star or patch the weakest slot in the XI first?

A trending headline says Vercel Labs launched Agent-Desktop, letting AI control a full computer. What would you let an agent do on your own machine without watching it?

A trending headline says Neuralink unveiled Telepathy and Blindsight brain implants. If a device turns intent into text, who is the author: you, or the model that guessed?

My Apple Developer enrollment has been blocked since June 2 ("Unable to Continue", then a template refusal on Aug 20 with no reason). Emails get no reply and phone support is unavailable. I can share the case details privately. Can someone route this to the enrollment team? @AppleSupport

Today my Apple Account was locked "for security reasons" and then recovered, and enrollment is still blocked. A second Apple Account in my own name was refused twice: "Your account cannot be created at this time." I only want a written reason and a fair review.

Update @AppleSupport @Apple: Apple gives no reason through any channel, so I have sent a formal notice before legal action (15 days to state the reason and a fix) and filed a grievance with India's Department of Consumer Affairs. I only want a written reason and a fair review.

A trending headline says the iPhone Duo foldable is getting mixed reviews ahead of launch. What would a foldable need to do before you give up a regular slab phone?

A trending headline says a solo founder hit $20M ARR with an AI company in 340 days. Is that a new kind of company, or a very good sales funnel?
