Addressed the second regional workshop of SÄdhana Åášáš
khalÄ 2026, organised by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) under Mission Karmayogi, on âStrengthening Training Institutions towards a Future-Ready and Connected Ecosystem.â
Since signing an MoU with CBC in November 2024, Assam has made significant progress in institutionalising capacity building across Government. Over 5.42 lakh officials are onboarded on iGOT Karmayogi, including 4.14 lakh active users, and Capacity Building Plans have been prepared for all 59 departments.
The next priority is to connect departmental training needs with the expertise and resources of State Training Institutions, while combining digital learning with better utilisation of existing infrastructure to expand access to training.
The Honâble Prime Ministerâs vision of EAST: Empower, Act, Strengthen and Transform is particularly relevant to the North-East. As the region moves from a frontier to a front-runner of growth, the capabilities of its governance institutions must keep pace with its economic transformation.
Through UNNATI and the UNNATI Exchange, North-Eastern States can share courses, faculty and infrastructure, drawing on one anotherâs strengths to build a connected and resource-efficient capacity-building ecosystem.
Congratulated CBC and its team on this initiative and thanked them for choosing Assam as the venue for the workshop. Reaffirmed Assamâs commitment to working with the Commission and fellow States to advance capacity building across the North-East and the country.

As part of #MissionKarmayogi, the Capacity Building Commission is organising the second regional workshop of SÄdhana Årinkhla 2026 in Guwahati on 9 October 2026. The workshop will be inaugurated by Honâble Chief Minister of Assam @himantabiswa, with participation from States and Training Institutes across the North Eastern Region.
The workshop will focus on institutional transformation, strengthening faculty capabilities, and advancing digital and future-ready capacity building, contributing to a competent and responsive civil service for #ViksitBharat2047.
