Grimes told Zack London, director of the upcoming AI film “Gods Don’t Give Gifts,” that she’d “love” to be involved with the movie.
“We started chatting, and it was like, ‘Oh, we know a ton of the same people,’” London tells Variety. “She was like, ‘I would love to do something with you.’ And then, it was basically, ‘Well, I wish I knew that earlier, but let’s find a way for you to be in this.’”
Grimes declined an interview request. Her spokesperson said in a statement that she “appreciates indie artists using new tools to create independent art—especially in the age of big studio monopolies.”
“She was particularly impressed that they had such a large team and were involving and compensating so many artists, voice actors, and musicians,” her spokesperson added. “She believes in supporting the right kind of culture around AI in cinema rather than acquiescing to the current model of having no standards.”

This feels like one of the more obvious buy and holds right now. Gossip Goblin is one of the biggest AI creators on this app and their AI film is set to be the largest AI film release we have ever seen. For the collective public it will be viewed as the first ever AI film. It is the first AI film to ever receive a MPA rating. They have been retweeted by Elon a couple times in the past for their content. Elon notoriously loves AI and hates Hollywood and the System.
With how contentious AI is in our world now, this film is going to get insane positive and negative press. Mindshare is mindshare.
