Feeling a bit emotional about @HarrogateFest.
Last year I turned up with a few early copies of my (non-crime) first book with @BoldwoodBooks to give to blogger friends. It was due out a few weeks later.
Now I'm five books in and that first one has sold over 300k copies.

This is going to be brilliant!
1/4 OK. The news is finally out. I am writing a series of mystery novels featuring my reimagining of Q from the James Bond franchise. Exciting & terrifying, in equal measure. First book: QUANTUM OF MENACE, out autumn 2025. Pre-order here: geni.us/quantumofmenace

On my way to #TheakstonsCrime @HarrogateFest. All journeys start with coffee at Brighton station 😊

This humidity is playing havoc with my hair, but I'm still excited to be at @HarrogateFest #TheakstonsCrime

Picked up my proofs of #FiveFatalFlaws. Come and find me at #TheakstonsCrime at the Old Swan in Harrogate if you’re a reviewer 😎💜🧡

I'm off to #TheakstonsCrime this afternoon, after I've deloused, fumigated my pyjama bottoms & had a bi-annual strim. I have 10 outfits hanging up, waiting to be whittled to a shortlist of 5. If you see me in the tent, I have had my jabs & promise not to bite! #HelloFreshers

And the journey to @HarrogateFest begins!!
Very much looking forward to seeing a whole lot of book-world friends at @OldSwanHotel and uber-excited to be on the #LetterOfTheLaw panel tomorrow afternoon with @imranmahmood777, @harriet_tyce, @KiaAbdullah and - inexplicably; I still can’t quite believe this - living legend of the legal world James @Comey.
It’s going to be an exciting few days but the best part is always meeting new people. So please, if you’re there and you spot a big Londoner dressed very much like the bloke in this picture, don’t hesitate to come up and say hello.
Sadly @FlySWISS your customer service does not match your photographs. I'm now £234 out of pocket after you cancelled a flight without notice and you are refusing to even cover my taxi fare home! On top of that, I was delayed 26 hours only flying from London to Zurich
Our metal birds definitely enjoy getting up early to catch the first rays of the sun. 🛫🌤

and you are refusing to compensate me for that too. On top of that, my rescheduled flights (via Frankfurt) because you had overbooked all the direct flights were also delayed, resulting in me running like a maniac to try to catch my connecting flight @FlySWISS
I frequently travel to Zurich but, after this experience @FlySWISS I can confidently say that I will never use your airline ever again.
your representative even told me that my taxi fares would be covered - and now I have incurred them you won't pay for them!

After years of digital publication, I was disproportionately excited to see one of my books on an actual shelf in an actual bookshop for the first time - and even better, alongside my sister @thestephmerritt! The kind folks at @ToppingsBath let me sign it 🙏 @Wildfirebks
