Don't want to be discourteous but professionals in mental health settings, for instance haven't even heard of reg 9a as applying to them! And how many hospitals feel bound by it? The legal right to a care supporter (Gloria's Law) would stay with the person whatever the setting
I know how important visiting or accompanying loved ones in health and social care settings is.
We are reviewing current regulations and have launched a call for evidence closing in 3 weeks.

It’s too late for my mum but it could be anyone of us in the future. Having seen what the separation did to my mum’s dementia and well-being, I ask everyone to write to their MP so that families are never separated again in care settings or hospitals. @CHazelgroveMP please attend
Who can email their MP, tell them why this matters, ask them to support @DanCardenMP ? It's so NOT party political. This is a human need. My constituency MP is @KemiBadenoch I've written. Was I wasting my time? But any of us could need this simple right.
