A bare concrete balcony to a little green oasis!
Four years ago, we saw possibilities in an overlooked balcony.
Today, it’s our green retreat AND outdoor photography studio, showcasing beautiful products made from overlooked materials.
At MitiMeth, we only see possibilities.
15+ years of turning possibility into purpose.
Thrilled to see @mitimeth_ spotlighted by @ITCnews.
Grateful for the journey.
Now to SCALE.

HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR LAGOS?
No labels. No numbers. Just Lagos, woven cartography from water hyacinth by MitiMeth showcased at @DesignWeekLagos
Your turn! What’s your LGA of residence or origin? Can you locate it on the map?

Dear young people,
Nobody warns you how quiet ruin is.
It never arrives with sirens or a sudden collapse. It shows up disguised as comfort. It arrives in the invitations you were too weak to decline, the discipline you delayed until "next Monday," and the rooms full of people who laughed with you while silently anchoring you to the floor.
Remember this rule, carved into every regret I have ever witnessed:
Easy choices lead to an excruciating life.
Difficult choices build an untouchable life.
The hard path is painful upfront. Waking up when it hurts. Holding standards when everyone around you is taking shortcuts. Choosing focus over cheap dopamine. But that pain expires—and it leaves behind freedom, clarity, and peace.
The easy path gives you instant pleasure, but charges interest forever.
And look closely at the hands currently shaping your future. The people around you are not neutral bystanders; they are either elevating your ceiling or normalizing your drift. If your circle makes discipline feel awkward and mediocrity feel comfortable, you do not have friends—you have an alibi.
Your future isn’t an accident waiting to happen. It is the mathematical sum of what you refuse to compromise on today.
Choose hard now. Or regret will choose it for you later.
Meet The Falomo Jetty Dog at LASWA Yard🐕
Not sure who seems to own him. But somehow, he belongs to everyone.
And when one of his favourite humans appeared, there was NO hiding that joy.

Nature nurtures us. Nature teaches us.
A beautiful wetlands walk at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.
My materials-curious mind super excited at the possibilities that could be hiding in plain sight.
In my world, innovation begins when I lean in to nature.

Sometimes victory looks like a sheet of handmade paper being lifted from a vat.
In 2016, learning to make paper was a small victory over grief.
Today, I watched our first-time papermakers at @mitimeth_ overcome their own fear.
Here’s to victory over fear.

Woven in Idah. Embroidered in Ibadan.
Inspired by the body markings of the women who wove them.
From hand to hand. From place to place. Woven stories. Woven textiles 💚

Made years ago for the Facebook @Meta Lagos office.
Used. Stored. Unrolled again. Still in remarkably good condition.
One of the most sustainable things we do at MitiMeth is simply to make things that LAST.

What can this material become?
At one stage, this MitiMeth piece looked almost alive. A jellyfish? A sea anemone? Something off the ocean floor? 🪼
Then the weaving continued, row by row.
Sometimes the most fascinating part of making is the becoming.

Circular innovation has deep roots in #Ibadan .
Our 2015 CNN feature took MitiMeth’s water hyacinth story from Oyo State to a global audience.
A decade later, we remain proudly rooted here, transforming overlooked materials into new possibilities.

Waste is often a design brief in disguise.
These recovered wooden pillars had served one purpose already. At MitiMeth, we reimagined them as a functional shelving unit for a restaurant interior.
Recover. Reuse. Redesign. Revalue.
