@aclarkplatts a new french review of Les soeurs du mal on Babelio : "J'ai mis du temps à rentrer dans ce roman.

Amazing show last night in aid of the brilliant @nordoffrobbins with the wonderful @tony_mortimer performing Stay Another Day. Stunning venue and such a good cause 🎶🎄
I would like to report that the place I’m doing my mediation training is where Vito is rehearsing his Strictly routines and today I saw him take off his shirt.

Never using @waitrose again. Appalling customer service. Shame as I have used them for years and years.
Has anyone ever done the robot on the beam? That would be good #OlympicGames
Why don’t they just make the beam a bit wider? Might stop everyone falling off it. #OlympicGames
I lost my orange purse at @asda Weyhill Hill East Express today at 3.30pm. I am such an idiot and devastated. If any kind folk can help me find me it, I would be so eternally grateful @AsdaServiceTeam #asda #idiot #crying
Please tell me they’re not going to run round all the tourist sights in Paris? In the pouring rain? #OlympicGames
Nadal and Serena Williams are icons but they’re not French? Why are they holding the Olympic flame? #OpeningCeremony

This is what the Olympic spirit is all about.
Kevin Piette was a young French tennis player 11 years ago when a motorcycle accident left him a paraplegic.
Instead of giving up the sport he loved, he returned to tennis as a Paralympian and became an exoskeleton ‘pilot’ for a company developing a robotic walking device.
He was one of the exoskeleton's first testers, has contributed to its improvement, and participated in ‘cybathlons’, which are competitions where people with disabilities use assistive technologies to carry out everyday activities.
He carried the Olympic Torch on Tuesday to inspire all people to get involved in sport, and in doing so made history: he is the first athlete to carry the torch while using an exoskeleton.
Keep going for it, Kevin!

My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.

I was very lucky to be on Centre Court yesterday to cry my eyes out along with everyone else saying thank you to @andy_murray for all the years of amazing tennis 🎾

It’s one thing to write a great screenplay. It’s another to write a screenplay that is taught in film schools the world over as the pinnacle of the form.
RIP, Robert Towne (1934-2024).
Just won £6 on Slovenia v Denmark and now my true husband @alanshearer is on the tv with #englandvserbia to follow. Happy days!
So proud of you @HeadDulwichSG Thoroughly well deserved 👏🏻
