ACP is deeply concerned about the impact of work requirements on Medicaid patients, who by definition have limited resources and income, and the downstream impact on physicians. We are fighting vigorously against government efforts that would that add to unnecessary physician burdens and divert time away from providing patient care. In addition to our ongoing advocacy efforts with CMS, we filed a lawsuit to oppose this new federal requirement that threatens Medicaid coverage for people with serious and chronic health conditions.
