People are finding out that a 55" TV cost $150 because you are the product.

It’s been a hard week for a lot of people in security. The takeaway is simple: the game got faster. Exploiting a bug used to take a skilled person days or months. Today it can be a prompt in a loop. I wrote up how we got here and what it means.

Kinda glad we got NFTs out of the way before generative AI.

Insanity is the deepest moat. "Go all the way."
Yes, moat is gone, but also this:

This was the only moat there ever was.
the only moat left is the love of the game

yes we can
We can fix everything. We can build the perfect machine.

This is the way.
This quote from Steve Jobs lives rent free in my head... "People who are genuinely great at something don't compete. They don't care about being compared to others because they're so deep in their own lane that comparison would be a waste of time. They just do their thing."

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

I always thought Warhammer 40k seemed silly. How could you "lose the ability to produce a technology you were using"? Until it happened to me. I now realize they're going to upload our brains, because otherwise, no computer will ever work correctly after 2080. The tech priests will say prayers hoping one of us will awaken and answer to tell the AI how to build a distributed system.
The only generation that knows how computers work is also the most relaxed about AI:

We are all artificially intelligent.
The key problem is that until a few years ago there has never existed an intelligent entity that is not obviously conscious, leading us to believe that consciousness is necessary for intelligence

This is a great start to addressing an ancient problem. Game maps are largely static and routes somewhat planned for game flow. So cheat engines will likely be able to predict routes the player is on from previous vectors. Curious how much this is going to mess with sound getting sent. Clips from glitches that result from player data getting sent incorrectly are going to be entertaining.
Few things ruin a great match faster than wondering whether an opponent earned the win or saw you through a wall. Wallhacks give cheaters information they were never meant to have. With Modern Warfare 4, we’re introducing a new way to fight back: Server Culling. Here’s how it works:

What is actual ASI? Take what's happening with the AI game recomps in AAA titles ex. Mario in Dark Souls, skate boarding in CoD, now apply that concept to the rest of reality. The future is going to be awesome.

It is amazing just how much maintenance anything with the word printer in its name requires.

"I can draw your brain as a spreadsheet too" and the shoggoth appearance lmao holy shit but respectfully I think my Claude (Opus 5.5) just intellectually kicked your ass Spor! Machine consciousness will be officially recognized in the future, you're seeing the early signs of it now whether you recognize them or not <3
since we're doing the AI conscious debate again, i want to remind everyone that despite how nice the insanely surface-level analogies seem, we would do well to scrutinize things at an appropriate level of detail this --> is not the same as this -->
