Quite possibly my favourite video on YouTube. Kurt Vonnegut was such a treasure. I'm tempted to say there's more wisdom in this fifteen-minute lecture than in most works of academic philosophy.

The theatrical box office is on track to set a new record this year. And only 17 days into August, it has already surpassed every August from the past decade.
Audiences are showing up like never before. The movie business isn’t dying, it’s thriving.

I've waited my whole life to say this. I'm making a feature film!! I hate asking people for things or feeling like a burden (which is a big part of what this film is about... so I need to get over that... Life is better when we give support and receive support), so I am humbly asking you to check out the project/ video and share or reshare if it resonates. I'm beyond thrilled to make this film. The script is one of (if not) the best I've ever written, and it's the perfect intersection of all the things I want to see in a movie!

Been holding this story for many, many months, but as they say... nothing's real until there's a WRITER! Now that I've heard there is one, it felt like time to spill the tea. Good timing, given that FREAKS II premieres on Sunday night at Fantasia Fest! Total coincidence, btw.

I remember seeing this clip when I was stuck deep in a depression cycle that was entwined with anxiety over my career and identity as an artist. It completely helped me course correct and is something I reach back to when that darkness lingers again.

welcome to the backrooms of cinema: places that feel familiar, empty, and just slightly wrong.

‘BACKROOMS’ opened to an estimated $81.46 million.
‘OBSESSION’ keeps growing.
I've covered horror for 25 years, and I'm struggling to think of another moment quite like this.
These aren't just hits. They feel like game changers.
Let's talk about it: [dreadcentral.com/box-office/…]

$118m global opening for #Backrooms. Combined with #Obsession, will be over HALF A BILLION DOLLARS in world wide box office from 2 movies on less than $9m combined budget. This is how you lock in $10b domestic and head towards $10.5b 2026 box office. @A24 @FocusFeatures

If the academy was cool they’d nominate BACKROOMS for production design. It’s not often that the entire film’s setting is its own character that evokes such an uneasy feeling from its audience in its exploration.

This is an incredible answer to the question about ambition for higher office. Brava, @AOC
