If this statement of Minister Raj Mohan is true, it warrants an investigation under the Prevention of Corruption Act; while it’s not clear who was the individual who offered the bribe and who was the conduit, both can be charged for bribery.
Also, why did Minister Raj Mohan decline the offer through Loyola Mani ?
Ministers need to be careful while making such statements in public. It may boomerang.
In 2021-22, former J&K Governor Satyapal Malik made similar allegations that he was offered bribe to clear files relating to a Hydropower project and an Insurance scheme, CBI registered two separate cases on his allegations and ended up chargesheeting the complainant, Satyapal Malik.
