Great reminder that even if we don’t get to see the world we are fighting for, it’s going to be a life well lived - led by hope and in service to our ideal. So don’t despair. Make that lemonade.

Adding “locally sourced” next to many types of food is a form of greenwashing, as transportation is the “lesser evil” when it comes to food-related greenhouse gas emissions.
#greenwashing
This is worth repeating, as it keeps being forgotten. In terms of greenhouse gas emissions, WHAT you eat is much more important than WHERE it comes from.

The world is better at socioeconomic development than at protecting the environment. The SDG indicators mask this fact. Lack of technical capacity and funding to go beyond simplistic indicators is an issue for countries.

Since Boris Johnson is now so keen that we do not "photo shop" British history, I thought I would take a minute to tell the full, unedited story of that crowning achievement of Britain's past, the Industrial Revolution:
Talking about failures is a form of generosity ❤️
In the spirit of transparency this #BCorpMonth, we're excited to launch our new story series 'Facing Failures'.
What better way to kick this off than with @jessibaker from @ProvenanceHQ - a software enabling businesses to be transparent. #Bthechange

Marcello Palazzi - B Lab Global Ambassador: B corp is more than a certification. It means connecting what we want the world to be and how we want us to be as individuals - to our business.

“Products marketed as sustainable grew 5.6 times faster than those that were not,” and other compelling data that shows the future of consumer packaged goods IS sustainable. No more excuses.

Every time conventional economic theory is denounced, I experience a sort of catharsis. Enjoyed this one by conditional optimist @DimitriZ
#economics #climatechange
#Climatechange poses an existential threat to modern economies. Watch the lecture from @DimitriZ outlining alternatives to conventional economic theory, offering alternative theoretical frameworks to make an orderly transition to a more #sustainableeconomy youtu.be/AK0D9y4pjX4
An insightful article by Peter Wang Hjemdahl about #circulareconomy and how to approach it. Check it out: buff.ly/2FulRLv @circleeconomy @Medium #plasticoffset #plasticneutral #plasticpollution #plasticfree #plasticwaste #Plastic #economy #savetheplanet #removeplastic
Green idea of the week: recycled homes
#upcycling
With raw materials becoming increasingly scarce, StoneCycling bricks made from upcycled waste, provide a circular and aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional building materials. #buildingmaterialsreuse #circularbuildings #circulareconomy ow.ly/ZneI50rOvjZ
I think this is a good #nudge for acting on #ClimateChange.

For months I've only used vinegar, lemon & water mix to clean. Every time I use it I don't get a warm worthy glow I get ANGRY because it's easily the most effective cleaning spray I've used. We were tricked into thinking chemicals in single-use plastic was progress. #plasticfree
