Charity exhibition NET VOYNE on February 24, 2025 in Lisbon
PT: adrl.pt/event/2025-02-24/pt
On February 24, we held a charity exhibition NET VOYNE in support of the Energy for Life fundraiser for hospitals and schools in Ukraine.
28 artists provided their arts, and we ourselves provided 2 items.
Many of the authors of the arts themselves came to the exhibition. The exhibition was also visited by historian Tamara Eidelman and she signed a poster with her photo at the procession that we organized last year, which is also a part of the exhibition. The Vocal Harmony group played and sang for the guests.
At the exhibition, buyers were found for two arts: "Forward to the Past" by photographer Link Art, and The Healing by sculptor Fulvio Capurso. As well as small lots: a master class on creating a print on T-shirts by Marina Diachkova, postcards from Postcards OÜ, wine from the Red Nose bar, and jewelry made by our supporters.
In total, we collected 674 euros! All funds were transferred to the account of the fundraiser.
At the moment, 40% of the 100,000 euros have been collected for purchasing the portable power stations, which were requested by hospitals and schools in Ukraine. Your donations have already made it possible to purchase and deliver portable power stations to Zaporizhia and Sumy.
We need your help: spread information about this exhibition: it continues online, so you and your friends will be able to buy beautiful and memorable things for your home or collection, and also help Ukraine without leaving home. You will also help the artists who were not afraid to speak out against the war and donated from 50% to 100% of the cost of their arts! Please find details on the website of this online exhibition:

Sweden denied travel document to Russian volunteer who fought for Ukraine
Full text with proofs and links: adrl.pt/event/2026-10-24/en
You’re watching news from the weekly rally in front of the Russian Embassy in Lisbon. Today is October 24th, 2:30 PM.
On October 21, the Ukrainian volunteer network Solidarity Collectives reported that the Swedish Migration Agency refused to issue a new travel document to Alexei Makarov, a Russian political refugee who fought on Ukraine's side. Without a travel document, he is effectively unable to leave Sweden. He was previously denied citizenship, but deportation, fortunately, is not yet on the table. The volunteers call the situation political repression, urging the public to support Makarov and fear further restrictions, including the possible loss of his refugee status.
t.me/SolidarityCollectives/3…
Journalists from The Insider spoke with Makarov and reviewed the agency's September 7 decision. On February 6, the Swedish Security Police, Säpo, said issuing a travel document would run counter to national security interests. Makarov was barred, under threat of criminal prosecution, from disclosing the basis for that decision. He took the risk and told journalists he had been informed of alleged dangerous activity abroad, without the country being specified. He believes that meant Ukraine, because it is the only country where he has spent an extended period outside Sweden. "Basically, I see this as Swedish intelligence services banning me from continuing the fight against the Russian state," he said.
Makarov opposed the Russian regime long before the war. He had been involved in the opposition movement since 2004, left Russia in 2009 because of persecution and received refugee status in Sweden in June 2011. In June 2022, he went to Ukraine. He initially fought as a volunteer, without a contract or pay, in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 95th Air Assault Brigade, then served in the International Legion and co-founded the Siberian Battalion. In November 2023, Makarov was wounded near Avdiivka, and in February 2024 he helped cover the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the city. He later suffered a more serious wound.
theins.ru/news/298571
The Siberian Battalion together with anarchist Makarov, was founded by Vladislav Ammosov, a former GRU officer, and Ildar Dadin, an opposition activist who fell in battle in Ukraine. The unit began forming in spring 2023 at the initiative of the Civic Council, a group of Russian citizens fighting against Putin. The unit operated under the command of Ukraine's Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
verstka.media/s-chem-stalkiv…
Former fighters reported conflicts with Ukrainian commanders. According to a March 12 investigation by Verstka, Ammosov left after disagreements with his superiors, and about 20 others left the battalion along with Dadin. Volunteer figters interviewed by journalists described threats when they tried to leave. In one case, commanders refused to confirm the service of Russians seeking asylum in Poland.
verstka.media/s-chem-stalkiv…
In an interview published in summer 2024, Makarov said he and like-minded activists had tried to create an independent anarchist unit within the Ukrainian army but ran into military bureaucracy and other obstacles. That effort was part of his yearslong struggle against Russian authoritarianism.

The charge of publicly calling for actions against Russia's security stemmed from the episode Idoliada, released on YouTube in July 2023. On September 10, Anthropic, the creator of the Claude AI models, released a report, "Detecting and countering misuse of AI: September 2026," detailing how bad actors used its models from December 2025 through August 2026. You've probably seen the story about how the company blocked research using its model that could have helped develop biological weapons.
But the report goes much further. It covers seven areas: cyberespionage and hacking, propaganda networks and fake media, surveillance systems targeting dissidents, fraud and fake dating app networks, abuses in biological research, weapons development and using other AI models to train their own.
The report also says the Russian cyberespionage group GTG-20006 attacked more than 20 organizations. Its most frequent targets were Ukrainian government officials, military personnel and diplomats. The attackers stole a proprietary machine-vision system development kit from a military drone manufacturer, then spent several days analyzing its architecture, the makeup of its production components and their suppliers. When antivirus software detected their trojan, AI agents rewrote it until the software no longer recognized it.

In his final statement, which Ivan sent us and plans to read at a court hearing that has been postponed for now, he quotes the Constitution: "The recognition, observance and protection of human rights and freedoms is the duty of the state." He writes that his desire to leave arose back in 2019, "when FSB officers beat and tortured me during my arrest in October," and that he became firmer in that resolve after going through the Russian prison system, which he calls "not correctional at all, but punitive." "Russian courts did not acquit me, but they acquitted those who beat me," he concludes.

On August 10, Russia's Supreme Court removed Yabloko's federal list from the State Duma election. Yabloko was the only party that had declared an anti-war stance. The ruling cited donations from Russians who had received money from abroad, posts by others supporting the party on blocked social networks and "copyright violations."

For years, Yabloko had tried not to give the authorities a pretext. When Yulia Navalnaya and other Russians who had left the country urged people to vote for Yabloko, the party said such support "could lead to its removal" from the election. Even that did not help.

The measures apply to people convicted in court as well as those punished under six articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses. As usual, the articles include discrediting the army, calling for sanctions and violating the foreign agents law. The measures include freezing money and property, denying loans and electronic government services, restricting driver's licenses and banning people from registering as sole proprietors, using notarial services or obtaining digital signatures.

On July 20, Kommersant reported that Russian farmers may soon be sold diesel fuel that the law prohibits them from putting in their machinery. According to the journalists, the Agriculture Ministry sent a letter to the regions on July 17 asking whether farmers needed diesel fuel with a sulfur content of 0.3 to 0.9 percent, as well as heating oil used in boilers.
Standard diesel contains up to 10 milligrams of sulfur per kilogram; this fuel has almost 1,000 times as much. An old Soviet tractor might tolerate a fivefold increase in sulfur, but a modern combine harvester's engine life would be cut in half, according to Kristina Romanovskaya, head of the Lazarevskoye farm. In other words, the cost of the Russian authorities' desire to continue the war will once again be paid by someone other than the Russian authorities.
kommersant.ru/doc/8830824
The reason for the measures is a fuel shortage after Ukrainian armed forces struck Russian oil refineries. On July 8, the government expanded its ban on diesel fuel exports to include producers.

On July 17, the Dolgoprudny Court fined politician Boris Nadezhdin 1,000 rubles for "displaying extremist symbols." The case stemmed from a photo of Navalny that appeared for about 10 seconds in a livestream by politician Elvira Vikhareva, a link to which Nadezhdin posted on his Telegram channel in 2023. Until his detention, he was actively collecting signatures to run in September elections for the State Duma and the Moscow Regional Duma, but the charge on which he was convicted bars him from seeking office this year. An ambulance was called for him during the trial after his blood pressure rose to 200/120. "I'll just die here, you understand—I'll drop dead if I have to sit in a stuffy cell. And I won't be able to pay the fine, unfortunately: all my accounts have been frozen," the politician said at the court hearing. He plans to appeal the ruling.

On the evening of June 24, two earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 struck Venezuela. Parts of Caracas and surrounding areas were devastated. The second tremor was the strongest to hit Venezuela in more than a century. As of June 26, authorities had confirmed 920 deaths and 3,360 injuries, but more than 50,000 people were missing and crews were still clearing rubble. Using a mathematical model, the U.S. Geological Survey estimated the possible death toll at between 10,000 and 100,000. Residents are doing much of the rescue work themselves, pulling people from the rubble with their bare hands because there are not enough cranes or equipment. On June 16, the European Parliament adopted a nonbinding resolution on countering transnational repression—the persecution of critics abroad by authoritarian regimes, including within the EU. The document names Russia, China, Iran and Belarus as the main perpetrators. It singles out Russia as one of the world's most aggressive actors and as responsible for the largest number of documented cases in the EU, citing assassinations and attempted assassinations, recruitment via Telegram, proxies such as Wagner and the abuse of Interpol "red notices." China is described as waging the world's most systematic campaign, with overseas "police stations" and pressure on academia. The resolution also notes operations by Iranian intelligence services and the IRGC, as well as the outsourcing of attacks to organized crime groups.

They said the justice system is in a systemic crisis, citing a 99.64 percent conviction rate in 2024 and dependence of judges. Most judges come from prosecutors' offices, investigative agencies or court staffs, they said. Participants examined cases in which they had served as defense attorneys as examples of fabrication: confessions extracted under torture, false expert reports, closed-door trials with secret witnesses and the persecution of lawyers themselves, including disbarment. The result was a draft resolution with three demands: not to introduce a Justice Ministry "lawyer monopoly," to establish criminal liability for obstructing attorneys' work and to create a real mechanism to hold investigators, prosecutors, experts and judges accountable for fabricating cases.

While recovering the bodies of Russians and Ukrainians, he realized he was fighting on the aggressor's side and started the anti-war channels "Cossack's Diary," where he criticized Putin and exposed corruption in the army. He described how military police beat him and held him in a pit for it, and said he survived only because his commanders were in a good mood and agreed to spare him in exchange for deleting the channels. He first went AWOL after being denied leave to help his son, who had cancer, get treatment. When they decided to send him on an assault mission, he chose to desert. He survived in the forests for nearly 10 months, looking for a way to cross the border. He was caught and managed to escape again. Now, through his project "Hard Sign," he helps to get out of the war others who have realized they were wrong.
