Welcome to Europe…
Having a train that takes you directly to the airport is genuinely one of the top 10 things a city can offer. No expensive taxis, no sitting in traffic, no begging someone to drop you off. Just get on the train and arrive at the airport. Every major city should have this.

This has to be my winner for “Most 2026 of all Pictures” and I refuse to believe there’s a plausible runner-up.

"Cambridge University Press & Assessment generated £1.038 billion in revenue for the 2024–25 financial year, with a profit of £205.2 million"-in case you are wondering how the achieve these dream figures
This is a new book, 2025, Cambridge University Press Poor quality print. Poor quality binding. They charge $120 for this. No, this isn’t economic necessity. Publishers are just taking advantage of unwitting consumers.

Perhaps we should tone down the general enthusiasm of Murdoch‘s paywalled journalism; good scoop, still part of a terrible, reactionary media platform
If I was on the sports desk ay The Times I would wonder why thus column was in my paper today… it flies in the face of their fabulous scoops and is just… well… what can you say… ?

🌍📚Advance stock alert! As an extreme heatwave grips Europe, the climate emergency is once again hitting the headlines. But in our shift away from fossil fuels, are we exacerbating environmental degradation & deepening global inequalities through our dramatic expansion of resource extraction? ‘The Great Green Grab: Climate Extractivism and the New Resource Imperialism’ by @plebillon explores just this. ‘A tour de force, ruthless in its critique of the colonial contours of the energy transition, yet equally relentless in its search for socially just, ecologically rational and politically durable pathways to an actually greener future. Impressive.’ @triofrancos Available at 20% discount with code GREEN20: tinyurl.com/4f48cy6v
