Why extreme heat is life-threatening, what are the health impacts of heat stress & what is the heat-health mechanism? Learn all these in the new & very interesting Primer by @robertdmeade & colleagues cell.com/one-earth/S2590-332… @HarvardUniv
Great job by the team and @robertdmeade for leading this informative paper. Happy to share with anyone interested.
Our brief educational Primer on the physiology and biophysics of heat vulnerability 🥵🌡️and cooling 🪭🥤 was just published in @OneEarth_CP !!

Our latest paper is now live in @eBioMedicine. Increased hospitalisation risks during hot weather based on the number, type, and combinations of multimorbidity. Those with multimorbidity should be seen as a distinct risk group in heat-health action plans. sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
New AJIM paper: Low-cost workplace cooling oasis (fans, mist bottles, cold towels) can reduce thermal & cardiovascular strain as effectively as pricier and more cumbersome cooling vests. Sustainable solutions for employee health & safety. 🌡️☀️👷onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

Our latest paper, led by @ajebach.
After monitoring the thermal conditions of a Bangladeshi garment factory for an entire year, we modelled the effects of sustainable building-level cooling interventions.
A related lab study to follow later this year.
