The AI bubble is gently deflating.
Investors are not buying the bs anymore.
The moats are largely speculative.
The resistance and hurdles to rapid adoption at scale are huge.
What happens when their credit ratings start to deteriorate?
What happens when they need to borrow more at higher interest rates to deliver ROI in a cycle that keeps turning?
Here's how you build generational wealth.
Take your parents money and invest it in the SP 500.
Contribute monthly, scaling up to $1k per month.
Let it sit till you're 70.
Your job is to cover your own living expenses. You don't need to do anything special.
A 401k is a plus.
Your kids will live in a different financial world.
The weather might be a variable.
There's a significant chance for rain on Election Day across a few parts of Texas.
If it turns severe or prolonged it could disrupt or dissuade some voters.
Although the impact is likely negligible, in an election that might come down to a game of inches, this could harm those relying on a strong Nov 3 turnout.
Nothing in the world is more important than family and health.
Nothing.
Forget about the kids being out of the house, I'm not even ready for their Dinosaur & Princess phase to end.
Kids were back at the weekend which got me thinking. Nobody really prepares you for them leaving home.
You spend 20-odd years dreaming of a tidy house, a full fridge, lower bills and the freedom to do whatever you fancy.
Then one day you get exactly that.
The house is suspiciously quiet, the fridge is still somehow empty, and you find yourself inventing reasons to ring the kids without appearing needy.
It’s a peculiar stage of life. You’re delighted they’re independent, proud of what they’re becoming, and quietly wondering where all those years went.
Still, at least the heating thermostat is finally under my control.
Small victories.
This is so true.
Fourtraits that make ordinary people exceptional:
- Don't mind being vulnerable
- Favor action over planning
- Have enough charm to make people like you
- Embrace hard work
I know a lot of very average people who make phenomenal money simply because they aren’t insecure.
They are confident enough in themselves and their own abilities to move forward regardless of other people’s opinions.
They aren’t afraid to make an ask, do some marketing to drum up business, or hop on the phone to spend a few days or weeks cold calling folks when business gets slow.
They don’t spend time feeling sorry for themselves if some of their calls or campaigns don't work out.
They don't waste days or weeks second guessing their strategy or over-analyzing what someone said to them last week in an email or on the phone.
They just move forward and keep taking action.
$28k per year?
Plus pay for co-pays, medicines etc.
Escalating healthcare costs are arguably the biggest bipartisan problem in America right now.
It's crushing household budgets and making families skip crucial healthcare trips.
Why is our healthcare system significantly more expensive than our peers in the western world?
"At this point, Texas isn’t "cheap." It’s just an expensive state with a better marketing team and a bigger toll booth."
🎯
TEXAS MIGHT BE THE BIGGEST FINANCIAL TRAP IN AMERICA...
Moved there thinking I was escaping high-tax states. No state income tax. Wide open spaces. Low cost of living. Everyone made it sound like I’d finally get to keep every dollar I earned.
Then came the property tax bill. Then the homeowners insurance spike because of grid failures and hail storms. Then the toll roads, the high utility bills, and every other hidden fee that somehow costs more than New York.
You save money on state income taxes, but a single property tax assessment or insurance renewal wipes out three years of savings in one check.
At this point, Texas isn’t "cheap." It’s just an expensive state with a better marketing team and a bigger toll booth.
PEOPLE KEEP BRAGGING ABOUT NO INCOME TAX, BUT HOW MUCH OF YOUR PAYCHECK IS ACTUALLY LEFT AFTER THE STATE TAKES IT BACK THROUGH THE BACK DOOR? 🤨
Roofers are having a rough year in DFW.
It's always been cyclical, but rarely has there been a pullback in weather related demand coupled with a decline in new construction to this extent.
The market got over supplied during the construction & hail storm BOOM from 2021 to 2024 and now the pendulum has swung the other way.
I remember watching this outbreak from our home in Plano back then.
It was wild. Totally unexpected.
Drove past the damage from the tornado that crossed Dallas North Tollway for weeks.
Enough of this BS man.
We need to fix school shootings.
- How the hell does a 16 year old get access to guns?
- Why wasn't armed security present at the school?
- Why didn't the school have more secure doors that can't just be shot through as this shooter did?
We're literally spending billions of dollars on nonsense.
Harden and secure America's schools!!
