Last night, I got an email that contained something that I have wanted to do my whole life. A "labor of love" project hit it's first milestone - and I couldn't be more excited. This isn't a huge, life-changing deal. But something I've always wanted to do. Stay Tuned!
Well, 2025 is off to a banging start. So let's try a new Social platform. Now I'm on Bluesky. bsky.app/profile/albertpenel…
Have some exciting toy-related news coming late this year. Follow me and I'll follow you back!
All the great things you’ve heard about #GodzillaMinusOne are true. Do yourself a favor and take the time to see it in theaters with the volume cranked to the max.
I don't think I have ever seen an otherwise good show bork the landing harder than #Ashoka. What a terrible finale. It's been a great season that just went off the rails in the last few episodes.

By process of elimination, she has to be talking about the OT. Few consider the prequels to be the best trilogy, and those who do don't consider TPM to be the best one. So, she must be talking about the OT as that's the only case where "one being the best" works in both contexts
It feels like by the end of the day, I won’t need Twitter. Only a handful more people need to move over. Someone should pay @FOSSpatents to move and get it over with.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is great and the haters can suck it. Thanks for reading my review.
The FTC case (thanks @FOSSpatents for the updates) reminds me how fluid the word "competition" is. So much debate and I'm getting cold-sweats thinking about how often we talked about it. You can be accurate to very narrowly define it OR broaden it, depending on the circumstance.
The nostalgic gamer in me finds it ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL to see @Bungie bringing back the Marathon name. Congrats to @pparsons and team for the very cool trailer. Loved the vibe! @MarathonTheGame
I love a world where people are still taking NHL '94 and updating it with new stats and rosters, and updating rules and gameplay. I love this industry.
Maybe my favorite thing I've ever done was taking my 8yo to see RotJ in a Theatre. She's never seen a Star Wars movie on the big screen (watched the OT at home), and what a great flick that still holds up IMO. She was snuggling with me and asking questions and life is the best.
Finished #StarTrekPicard Season 3. Didn't watch the first 2, and was sort of a casual TNG fan. I really liked what they did and wish the ST prequels had done the same thing - have a simple but interesting plot, which is basically structured to get everyone in the same place...
I appreciate the temptation modern showrunners have to deconstruct beloved characters, or surprise the audience with some twist - but in case like this, where logistically you're not going to get these people together again - just give the audience what they want.
So great job #StarTrekPicard team for figuring out how to make a fun season *and* a great send-off to TNG actors and fans.
Which only furthers my disappointment in the Star Wars sequels for not figuring out how to do the same thing...
About halfway through last nights #Mandalorian finale, my wife says "this might be the best Star Wars thing I have ever seen" and oh boy was she right.
The ending was perfect and while I'd love to see a Season 4, I'd also be satisfied if this was the series finale.
