Animated Alex to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his favourite haunt.

The 1980s: the era of big shoulders, big hair, big phones and big bonuses. Approaching my 40th anniversary, I celebrate this bygone decade of greed and excess with a new collection of over 500 classic cartoons, which have been out of print for three decades. alexcartoon.com/shop.cfm

Posting this to see if it works on X, since it doesn't upload on Linked in. Latest try-out with SHOTROOM'S ai-animation toolkit. You can edit, change speed, lip-sync, slow down, move elements around... It's the ai kit I need for 2D. Thanks Asa of Keyframe studios, thanks Clement and Elnaz for their big brains (and patience). Also thank you, Robert Bathurst for lending his voice to Alex (well, he does it a lot actually). This is the last frame of a strip about Alex bemoaning his expensive lifestyle and the enormous waste it results in. Look away now because I'm revealing the punchline:

My Monday readers’ favourite cartoon is from 1989 and about opera. alexcartoon.com If you’ve got a cartoon suggestion, let me know and I may feature it in the future.

Alex seen here talking to a fictional CEO about the fictional takeover of the comic strip newspaper, 'The Bugle', which Alex had a long association with. This is an ai try-out of a kind of animated-comic strip hybrid (ie: some real drawing too) which Charles is currently trying to make work for on-line features. Visit his (Charles Peattie's) page on linked in for more examples of WIP, including of Gary Bloke from the Celeb strip in Private Eye. When it works, will be posting more...
