A friend's experience was more of Mob Action than mistaken identity.
Dixon was a friend of my cousin and they both lived with me in Ado Ekiti. He was a Geology student and had gone on a field excursion to a village in Kogi State.
As fate would have it, Chelsea had a match that day. Dixon found a viewing centre and settled down to enjoy the match.
Then he noticed a young boy sitting beside him, moving suspiciously close. Dixon became uncomfortable and decided to catch the boy red handed if he tried anything funny.
After some time, the boy moved closer and slipped his hand into Dixon's pocket and Dixon caught him. But before he could shout, the boy screamed HELP ME! HELP ME! THIS MAN HAS STOLEN MY DICK
Before Dixon could say anything, everyone in the viewing center descended on him and beat him mercilessly. Nobody even bothered to ask Dixon his own side of the story.
They tore Dixon's clothes during the beating until he was left completely naked. Funny enough Dixon had the biggest Dick I have ever seen, abnormally big for a human being. So these people were like "so you dey collect people penis join your own abi"
They had a suspect, a victim and an accusation. Evidence was apparently optional.
Meanwhile, some of his classmates who had been watching the match with him had rushed off to inform their lecturers.
The lecturers ran to the king's palace, while other students rushed to the scene, where arguments had already started.
Fortunately, the king sent word that everybody should come to the palace. The crowd paraded Dixon through the village to the Palace. When they arrived, the king asked for the boy who had raised the alarm but the boy was nowhere to be found.
The king insisted that he must be brought forward before anything else happened. It was only then that Dixon was allowed to put on another set of clothes.
By this time, the crowd had grown even bigger. News was also spreading that the boy was known in the village for stealing, although nobody had witnessed him accuse anyone before.
Eventually, Dixon was allowed to tell his side of the story. He explained how the boy had attempted to steal from his pocket and how everything had changed the moment he caught him.
Eventually, the boy was found and brought before the king.
The king asked him to pull off his pants and show him the missing penis.
You can imagine the embarrassment when it became obvious that nothing was missing at all.
The boy was flogged and made to apologise.
Dixon was eventually brought back to Ado Ekiti and taken to the hospital.
But the experience stayed with him for a very long time.

These geezers have ZERO effort to study into the nutritional benefits of our local foods, herbs; natural God-given remedy to sickness. They have zero public effort towards how bitterleaf, ukazi leaves, white soup, ginger and others can boost your natural immunity.
Do you guys recognize these credit alerts from GateFoundation or not? People who have lost their natural food and can only eat ultra processed nonsense, are being invited as keynote speakers to address us on food. In Africa? Is something wrong with you people?
Long before all these patented drugs and vaccines, these natural remedies sustained humanity for thousands of years, but the more these people get credit alert from food fortification, GMO, 3D printed food and toilet water to drinking water merchants, the more life expectancy drops in this country.
What have these geezers said about the rising pesticides in our food that @cefsarintl and @AAonPesticideNg are always, dangerous chemicals used in food preservation and the numerous organ failure as a result? Where is their public support for NAFDAC and their effort against the horde of fake foods and drugs we are seeing?
But no, look at them drumming support for a bill with wide open nets for foreign donations, collaboration with international organizations to set standards for nutrition in Nigeria; a bill blind-sided totally to our local remedies and foods. People like @DedayoRoots @HerbalistChief will immediately become criminals.
Thank God for @cafpraintl 's policy surveillance, if not, this bill would have gone in seamlessly.
We invite you to demonstrate your support for the Nutritionists Registration Council of Nigeria Bill (HB 2659) by signing the petition through the link below.
The Bill represents an important step towards strengthening nutrition in Nigeria.

The NURTW functions essentially as a state-backed, private terror cartel.
Did you know that in 2021, the ICIR found that Lagos Agberos extort over ₦120B annually ($300M at the time) from drivers?
The NURTW functions essentially as a state-backed, private terror cartel.
In 2021, this syndicate out-earned 34 out of 36 Nigerian states—dwarfing entire state budgets and clearing nearly 30% of the IGR of the almighty Lagos State.
And they keep almost all of it. Only a tiny, unofficial sliver goes to local governments through the LGAs to keep them pliant.
Long before Tompolo landed his juicy pipeline surveillance contracts, Tinubu had willed Lagosians, public motorists, and their hard-earned money over to this private army.
Today, that army has evolved into an untouchable corporate shadow government.
They don't build schools, they don't fix the roads, and they don't provide welfare.
They just extort everyday Nigerians by day, and serve as political enforcers to intimidate voters by on election nights.
