“The Secretary-General is deeply concerned by the Israeli authorities’ announcement to suspend the operations of several international non-governmental organisations in the occupied Palestinian territory. He calls for this measure to be reversed, stressing that international non-governmental organisations are indispensable to life-saving humanitarian work and that the suspension risks undermining the fragile progress made during the ceasefire.
This announcement comes on top of earlier restrictions that have already delayed critical food, medical, hygiene and shelter supplies from entering Gaza. This recent action will further exacerbate the humanitarian crisis facing Palestinians. The Secretary-General underscores that, pursuant to its obligations under international humanitarian law, Israel must allow and facilitate rapid and unimpeded passage of humanitarian relief for all civilians in need.
He reiterates that all humanitarian partners must be able to operate safely and in line with humanitarian principles.”

Saying "you support international law" whilst supporting a President breaking international law - means you don't support international law.
Really basic stuff - but this is how badly this Labour Government are scraping the barrel.
And it all undermines international law.
Replying to @YvetteCooperMP
2/ As the Prime Minister has made clear, we support international law. Our collective focus must now be on achieving a transition without bloodshed to a democratic government in Venezuela that respects the rights and will of its people.

LET'S NOT LOSE SIGHT OF JUSTICE AS OUR COMPASS.
Attacking a sovereign country and
abducting its leader is a lethal blow to intl law, no matter how deserving s/he may be to face justice.
That applies also to Netanyahu: I look forward to his lawful arrest and trial in The Hague.

I turned thirty a few days ago. There was work, as usual, and the familiar fatigue that no longer feels temporary. For three years now I have been a licensed physician. Each week, hundreds of faces pass before me. I listen, examine, prescribe, reassure. I do my duty carefully, sometimes mechanically, sometimes with genuine concern, and at the end of the day I return home with the sensation that something essential has been spent.
Two days ago, I fell ill.
It was nothing remarkable. A fever, a heaviness in the chest, the dull irritation of weakness. I would have called it influenza and treated it accordingly, had I been my own patient. But my mother had already decided otherwise.
She appeared with her remedies, prepared with the seriousness of a person entrusted with a life. She made steam from cloves, ginger, and herbs whose names I no longer remember, insisting it would ease my breathing. She did not argue with me. She did not ask my opinion. She acted. For fever, she trusted only cold compresses. She brought water, tea, broth, more water than I believed necessary, and watched until I drank it.
During the night, I woke to find her hand on my forehead. She was checking my temperature. I asked her, half asleep, why she was awake. She said nothing, only adjusted the blanket. Later, I learned she had chosen to sleep beside my bed. It seemed unnecessary. I did not protest.
The following day, while I was at work, she called repeatedly. Each time, the same question: “Are you feeling better?” I answered briefly. There were patients waiting.
It is curious how easily one forgets these things. We imagine that mercy is earned through effort, knowledge, usefulness. We believe ourselves independent as long as we remain standing. Illness exposes the falsehood of this belief with remarkable efficiency.
A friend once told me that God is kind to us not because of what we do, but because of our mothers. At the time, I smiled politely. Now, lying there, watched over with unnecessary vigilance, I understood him.

The Government of the Republic of South Africa notes with grave concern the recent developments, which were confirmed by the United States.
History has repeatedly demonstrated that military invasions against sovereign states yield only instability and deepening crisis. Unlawful, unilateral force of this nature undermines the stability of the international order and the principle of equality among nations.
South Africa calls on UN Security the body mandated to maintain international peace and security to urgently convene to address this situation.

There once lived three bulls, a white bull, a black bull, and a red bull. Looking for food, a lion watched them graze together and realized he could not contend with all three. So he went to the black and the red bull and made a deal with both of them. He told them that he was very ferocious and powerful and that if they let him eat the white bull, he would leave them in peace. The black and the red bull agreed, and the lion killed and then ate the white bull.
Time passed and the lion became hungry again. He went to the red bull and argued that he was ferocious and powerful and that if he let him eat the black bull he would leave him in peace. The red bull agreed and the lion murdered and then ate the black bull.
As time passed and the lion became hungry, he visited the red bull again. As the red bull saw death in the lion’s eye, as the teeth dug deep into its neck, it shouted, “Verily I was eaten the day the white bull was eaten!”
Netanyahu claims Israel protects Christianity, but in reality, safety exists only for Jews. Palestinians face occupation, airstrikes, and checkpoints while their homes burn
