We should just end mail delivery entirely. It serves no useful purpose in the digital age.

This is why I won’t work for Canadian employers. They’re terrible. Almost all of them.
Shit benefits, shit perks, shit compensation. Few offer stock incentive, few offer annual bonuses, vacation time usually sucks.

Yes it’s okay to have standards.
That’s why I don’t date fat women.

Tell you what. I’ll agree it’s okay for wives to regularly and exclusively deny their husbands if they are being chased by a pack of bloodthirsty wolves.
She’s right. It applies to both men and women.
If you have an IQ above 125, realize everyone else is a blubbering idiot compared to you. It will save you a lot of rage.
These people can’t even raise kids that can adapt to minor changes in schedule but think they’ll grow up to be powerhouses.
They’ll be living in her basement until 50

Some sanity
Very unpopular and unusual opinion, but we never had a strict schedule and it was the best thing for our family. It’s the advice I would give anyone who wants more than 2 kids.
I took the littles out a lot and if they were enjoying whatever activity we were doing, I saw no reason to rush home for a set nap time. We had strollers and a beach tent for naps too. Since my husband used to frequently work late in the early years, it would have been crazy to have a firm, early bedtime.
Of all the things I can be neurotic about, I am glad I played the long game and let them adapt to variation each day. It just didn’t make sense to live and die by a time on a clock. I think that this is partly how I survived the close spacings. We just went with the flow. We could leave the house without feeling like we had to hurry back home.
I can remember vacationing with “schedule” families and it was irritating because everything had to be planned around inflexible and non negotiable nap times. We were the type that we just let the babies and toddlers sleep in the stroller. We even used two double strollers for awhile, so everyone could crash during an outing. We were even able to stay at Magic Kingdom until close with babies and toddlers in tow because of our approach.
Kids who are on a strict schedule melt down so fast, the second you veer away from it. As we have witnessed with nieces and nephews, even an off time holiday meal can ruin an entire day. SIL throws a fit over Thanksgiving dinner not being at NOON. The kids MUST eat at exact intervals.
I completely understand that people don’t want chaos and a schedule gives some control over that. But in the long run it just seems to make kids struggle with any change in routine. You can only go so long before you’ll have to adjust and the longer you’ve been strict, the more painful the changeup will be.
It always seems more exhausting to be rigid, because you’re racing to keep everything aligned and avoid the tantrums. And I’m not saying my kids didn’t have tantrums…they absolutely DID. Some of them worse than others. But I think overall they learned to be way more chill and adaptable, which was so valuable for what quickly became a busy activity/sports family. The people writing the game schedules don’t care when nap time and bedtime are.
Sorry for the sanctimonious tone. I truly don’t mean it as a brag…it’s genuine advice I’ll give my own children when they become parents. I sincerely believe it works. It might even increase the birth rate.
Some people put the perception of others so far above theirs and their loved ones families, it’s astonishing.
Also, kids of the age bedtime matters don’t fall asleep because they’re 1hr late for bed.

If the kid acts up in church or falls asleep in school because the schedule the night before goes off the rails, how often does dad get called upon to explain?
This is why many men don’t take women seriously.
You say something logical and rational and they spin it into an emotional attack to tear you down.

We want to address some confusion surrounding the investigation into the home invasion in the Bridle Path neighbourhood.
Investigators immediately recognized the potential connection between the home invasion and the individual who showed up at hospital with a gunshot wound.
But recognizing a potential suspect and having enough evidence to arrest them are two different things. Suspicion alone isn’t enough. Police need reasonable grounds, supported by evidence, to make an arrest.
We will continue to gather evidence and will go where the evidence takes us. We are grateful for the professionalism, tenacity and commitment of our investigators who continue this work.
Let’s keep the focus where it belongs: finding the outstanding suspects and holding those responsible for this violent home invasion accountable.

Most people don’t understand that the least difficult part of making good quality software is the code and infra.
Yes. Property tax is immoral.
"Billionaires shouldn't be taxed on stock gains they haven't sold, because it isn't real money until they cash out."
Fine.
Then explain why my county reassessed my home this year and sent me a bigger bill.
I didn't sell it.
I didn't refinance.
I haven't seen a single dollar of that "extra value."
But I'm still handing over more every year because my house is worth more on paper.
Funny how paper gains are "not real" for a billionaire's portfolio, but completely real the moment they show up on a homeowner's tax statement.
Just saw this on Reddit

If you live in Toronto you’re already retarded. This chick must be planning a mayoral run.
White people in #Toronto only having white friends is a choice.
A racist one.
