Huawei Built a European Palace for 35,000 Researchers, Then Spent $28 Billion on R&D in a Single Year I walked into what looked like a European palace. Marble floors. Crystal chandeliers. Gilded railings. Classical statues. Vaulted ceilings that belong in a ministry building in Vienna or Paris. Then the giant screen lit up with the Huawei logo. This is not a government building.
This is Huawei’s Shanghai research campus. A self-contained research city with lakes, landscaped grounds, modern laboratory blocks, elevated walkways, and its own internal light-rail system. Designed for 35,000 researchers. Current density is already extreme: roughly 80% hold a master’s degree or higher. About 10% are PhDs. Throw a stone and you hit advanced technical talent. In 2025, Huawei generated CNY 880.9 billion in revenue.
It spent CNY 192.3 billion on R&D, 21.8% of total revenue, roughly US$27.9 billion. That single-year R&D outlay exceeds the entire GDP of multiple countries with larger populations.
Total employees: ~213,000.
R&D headcount: 114,000 (53.7% of the workforce). Most companies and most nations still treat research as a residual. Huawei treats it as the core operating expense. The result is not just beautiful architecture. It is sustained technological capacity under pressure. This is the case study that matters. Resource allocation at this intensity, sustained for more than a decade, produces outcomes that incremental budgets and short-term political cycles cannot match. Have you visited a corporate campus that genuinely changed how you think about what’s possible? Video produced and edited by Arianne, my beloved daughter 😍

A team isn’t built by working together. It’s built by trusting, respecting, and caring for each other. Skills get the job done. Trust makes great things possible. Build a culture where people feel valued, supported, and empowered and the results will follow. Great teams are built on trust, not just talent. 💯

A gentle reminder we all need from time to time: You are totally replaceable at work. But you are not replaceable at home. Your family, your loved ones, your health, that’s your real life. The titles, deadlines, and meetings can wait. Work will move on if you’re gone. But the people who love you? They won’t ever find another you. As we chase success, let’s not lose sight of what truly matters, presence, connection, and love beyond the office walls. Because at the end of the day, your legacy won’t be your job title… It’ll be the moments and memories you created with those who matter most.

GDP Rankings Tell Two Different Stories. By nominal GDP, the US leads the world. By purchasing power parity (PPP), China takes the top spot, with India firmly in third. Nominal GDP reflects economic size at market exchange rates, while PPP accounts for differences in local prices and what money can actually buy. Economic power isn’t just about how much an economy produces, but also what that output can buy at home. As the global economic balance shifts, understanding both measures gives us a much clearer picture of the world.

Smooth now doesn’t mean smooth later.
📱 iPhone Duo: The crease before and after repeated folding. Look closely at how the display appears at first, with a barely noticeable crease, compared with how it looks after repeated folding cycles. As the comparison suggests, the crease may become more pronounced and visible over time, raising questions about long-term durability and how well Apple’s foldable display will hold up with everyday use. A smooth display is impressive, but keeping it that way is the real challenge. 👀 #iPhoneDuo #Apple #FoldableiPhone #TechNews

AI is becoming more than a productivity tool, it’s becoming an emotional support system. According to this survey, 36% of young people under 18 and 29% of those aged 18–24 regularly or often turn to AI for emotional support. The trend is growing across every age group. AI offers something many people crave: instant responses, a judgment-free space, and someone or something, to talk to anytime. But here’s the bigger question: Are we using AI to strengthen our emotional well-being, or replacing human connection with it? The future of AI isn’t just about what it can do for us, it’s also about how it changes the way we connect with each other. Credit : Statista

China’s high-speed rail network went from 486 km in 2008 to more than 51,500 km by October 2026. That is a roughly 100-fold expansion in 18 years. The network crossed 50,000 km at the end of 2025 and has already added another ~1,500 km so far in 2026 (including 1,142 km opened in a single day on 28 September). No other country has built at this scale or pace.
China's high-speed rail expansion is a completely different ball game

Our parents had one phone, one cooking pot, and a savings plan. 😂 We have 3 streaming subscriptions, 5 food delivery apps, a skincare routine with 10 steps… and wonder where our money went. 💸 Maybe they weren’t earning more. Maybe they just spent differently. Are we earning to live, or living to spend?

According to RBC Capital Markets, SpaceX could acquire Tesla in an all-stock deal valued at $480 per share, creating a combined company worth $3.74 trillion 🔥 Under the hypothetical buyout, $TSLA investors would receive roughly three SpaceX shares for each share they own, securing a 30% premium paid entirely in equity 🔥 That swap would give Tesla shareholders a 48% ownership stake in the merged giant, down from the 54% RBC calculated in July despite the offer price remaining unchanged. The ultimate payout and ratio would still hinge on prevailing market prices and finalized agreement terms 🔥

$SPCX - JPMORGAN DOUBLES SPACEX PRICE TARGET TO $500 JPMorgan raised its SpaceX price target from $240 to $500, maintaining an Overweight rating. The bank now forecasts $254 billion in 2027 revenue and 10 GW of computing capacity by year-end, more than doubling its 2027–2028 estimates. JPMorgan also sees strategic merit in a potential SpaceX–Tesla merger, though no deal is guaranteed.

Rene Angelil met Celine Dion when she was 12 years old. He was hooked to her singing abilities and he immediately signed her. The following year, he mortgaged his house in order to fund Celine Dion's first album. The album turned out to be successful. Celine Dion was born in Qubec, so she didn't understand English language. Qubec is a French speaking part of Canada. Rene ensured that Celine Dion took English language classes until she became proficient in the language. He needed her to sing in English language in order to be able to break into the US market. Rene's efforts paid off as she was signed by Epic records and her first English album debuted in 1993. Rene Angelil doubled as her manager and husband, they got married in 1994. Rene and Celine relationship turned romantic when she was 19. Rene was 26 years older than her. Celine Dion remained faithful to Rene when she became very successful. She didn't let hypergamy get in the way of her relationship with Rene. She even canceled her concert several times when Rene was battling with cancer. They had three kids together. Rene was diagnosed of cancer three times. He finally succumbed to cancer and passed away in 2016. They were married for 22 years. Celine Dion is a good woman. She didn't turn her back on her husband who took a chance on her when she became successful. Celine Dion was all about her voice and little or no revealing clothes. She was very feminine in her youth.

Jensen Huang says $NVDA Vera Rubin is “in full production” and now takes less than 5 minutes to assemble per node versus 2 hours for Grace Blackwell with zero cables and 100% liquid cooling. That’s over 24x faster assembly which could mean faster deployments and better margins as Nvidia ramps its next generation of AI systems.

NVIDIA just announced DSX POD. This is a bigger deal than most people realize, because it solves one of the biggest bottlenecks: scaling! Instead of taking months to build out a data center, you can now scale compute capacity in just a few days!
