Yes, Karen Bass hasn’t done anything for us while she desperately needs to win our votes, but she’s TOTALLY gonna hold herself accountable once she’s locked in her lame duck term. Once she’s won, she’s REALLY gonna get to the bottom of her worst failure. LMAO. Guys. Stop. The argument is simple. You either think Karen will be slightly less horrific, or you think Nithya will be slightly less horrific, and you vote accordingly. That’s it. That’s the ONLY justification there is. Quit lying to yourselves with these bizarre Rube Goldberg rationalizations. You are faced with the most cynical election imaginable and there’s no positive way to spin it. You should’ve done more to support the one candidate who offered common sense back when you still had a choice. Now that opportunity has passed, so just eat your shit sandwich. If anything, you’re making a good case for Raman, who would be FAR more likely to investigate her opponent’s biggest failure. But regardless, she won’t, either. Nobody cares about us in the Palisades. Not Bass, nor Raman, nor the other 99.9% of LA who were in no way impacted by the fire. The time to get anything favorable was in these closing months of the campaign. That door shuts entirely on Tuesday. Karen cannot WAIT to never pretend to give a fuck about the Palisades ever again. It is what it is. Remember, there are tons of black folks in Crenshaw and South Central, Latinos in Boyle Heights, and Koreans in KTown who feel betrayed by Karen. It ain’t just us in the Palisades, and there’s a lot more of them than us. I know most Palisadians will never step foot in those neighborhoods, but a lot of Angelenos see a vote for Bass as a vote against them. No matter how you cut it, with the shit candidates we have, a lot of people will hate you no matter who you pick. Just vote privately and move on. Both candidates will take LA further into the abyss. Most of the people who voted for me would never vote for a DSA animal like Nithya. But a significant chunk of those who voted for me can hold their nose and vote for Bass. The people who abstain from either have no impact, so ultimately I see a net pickup for Bass. Seems pretty automatic. There is no right answer here, only wrong answers LOL. Shoulda done more in May. 🤷‍♂️
