Amid circulating rumors, officials have clarified that the proposed floating solar project on the Ujani dam will cover only nine percent (3,000 hectares) of the reservoir, leaving the remaining 91 percent entirely open. Addressing local concerns over water usage and land acquisition, the administration confirmed that no private land will be acquired. The associated 1.4 GW data centre will utilize a closed-loop, direct-to-chip cooling system, consuming a maximum of half a TMC of water annually without discharging any wastewater back into the river. The ambitious initiative, which includes 2,000 MW of power generation, is expected to generate 2,800 permanent jobs and approximately 40,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. To ensure transparency, the Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation will appoint an independent coordinator to facilitate dialogue with citizen representatives from Bhimanagar, Taratgaon, and Hingangaon.

Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.
