This would not have happened if successive governments didn’t wilfully neglect people outside Bhubaneswar.
What makes the Kotia issue truly special is the way Odisha has come together to defend its territorial integrity.
Politicians across party lines stood united. Our committed officers fought hard. Our lawyers stepped forward, ready to use their knowledge and expertise to defend Odisha. And now, look at our schools and teachers. This is perhaps one of the most beautiful things I have witnessed during this entire episode.
I came across a video of a teacher educating students about their identity, their land and their roots. Around 50 students were enthusiastically responding to their teacher:
Teacher: Our state?
Students: Odisha! Odisha! Odisha!
Teacher: Our district?
Students: Koraput! Koraput! Koraput!
Teacher: Our block?
Students: Pottangi! Pottangi! Pottangi!
Teacher: Our panchayat?
Students: Kotia! Kotia! Kotia!
Teacher: We are Odia?
Students: We are wonderful!
Absolutely beautiful! ❤️
This is exactly how we should nurture love for our motherland. And this should not remain limited to Kotia or Koraput. It should become a practice across every school in Odisha.
Children must grow up knowing their history, geography, culture, language and identity. They must understand what their land represents and why protecting its territorial integrity matters.
When we instil this pride at a young age, we raise a generation that is confident about its identity, secure in its roots and free from unnecessary inferiority complexes. A generation that respects other cultures without feeling the need to surrender its own. A generation that doesn't need validation from anyone to feel proud of being Odia.
We need fewer people suffering from an inferiority complex about their own language and identity, and more confident Odias who take pride in their mother tongue, culture and heritage.
Thank God this is happening.
Dumb IT companies will actively move away from dumb DSA stuff.
DSA is the most useful yet most useless part of Computer Science.

This exact ritual is followed in Odisha on Dipabali proper. , meaning "Oh Elders, come in dark but go in light, go to the Ganga, go to Gaya and in the end go to Puri, eat Jagannatha's Mahaprasada and roll on his 22 stairs" holding burning conditioned jute sticks in their hands.

When the thousand-rayed Sun is in Tula Rashi, during the evening of Bhuta-darshi (Naraka Chaturdashi and Amavasya), people should hold firebrands (Ulkas) in their hands and illuminate the path for their ancestors (Pitris).
This is the reason bad journalists are a plague, especially in dumb places like @IndianExpress
Maa Kali/Sri Krishna/Girls/Boys everyone should show fearlessness and defiance when fighting the evil and protecting their near and dear ones.
Otherwise, NO!
Understand context.
#FreshTake | Goddess Kali is revered as a symbol of feminine power, fearlessness and defiance. Yet, women who display those very qualities are often judged, shamed and told they are no Devi. This Kali Puja, it is worth asking why.

Not only that, @USCIS should ban future visas and cancel existing visas/green cards/citizenship for people from those few states.
This is an epidemic!!

Think about how sophisticated today’s hedge funds have become.
Billions of dollars under management.
PhDs in mathematics, physics and computer science.
Massive data science teams.
Thousands of data feeds.
Alternative data.
Satellite imagery.
Machine learning.
Artificial intelligence.
High-frequency trading.
Thousands of GPUs.
Complex risk-management systems.
They can monitor markets, companies, supply chains and investor behavior at a level that was almost unimaginable 20 years ago.
And yet, some of the most sophisticated investment organizations in the world just suffered enormous losses.
That should make everyone stop and think.
If this level of technology, data and intellectual firepower isn’t enough to consistently produce good investment decisions, what exactly are we building?
The next generation will have even more data, faster computers, more powerful AI agents and increasingly complex models.
But will they have better judgment?
Or will we simply create bigger, faster and more sophisticated versions of the same mistakes?
The future of investing may not belong to whoever has the most data or the most computing power. It may belong to whoever knows what information to ignore.
Technology can process information.
It cannot guarantee wisdom.
Still no metro in Odisha, where we have double engine.
Let me ask you…
If India’s Metro network had continued expanding at the pace it did before 2014, how long would the wait be for cities like Pune to have a metro?
YEARS….no…DECADES perhaps.
And that was UNACCEPTABLE.
In 2014, India had just 248 km of Metro lines across 5 cities.
Today, we have nearly 1,200 km across 26 cities.
Over 1 crore people travel by Metro every day.
The impact goes beyond statistics or numbers.
It means less time in traffic, more family time, greater productivity and better opportunities.
This is the transformation we are working towards for urban India!

Learnt this the hard way!!
Stupid people play fair in a game that has always been rigged. Don’t fool yourself with rights and wrongs; there are none. Society made rules to protect itself, and we’ve been trained to obey them. If a butterfly and a bug land on your leaf, you’ll kill the bug, not the butterfly, though both are insects. Rules, norms, and laws were created by the strong to control the weak. Never follow, and never play fair.
Is this a problem in Odisha too?
My maternal uncle, a proud Marathi, built his manufacturing setup near NH 48 in Pune from scratch over the last 10 years!
He began by hiring only Marathi-speaking folks from Maharashtra, but today 75% of his workers are from other states. He says the local workers didn’t show the work ethic he needed on the factory floor, even after he gave them plenty of chances.
The Marathi folks in his company are mostly in accounting, audit, customer relations and video editing. So his struggle is mainly with the actual manufacturing roles.
Honestly, felt sad hearing it from him😭

Broadcom just hit a three year valuation low...
FWD P/E: 16.75x
Meanwhile, management:
- "FY'27 AI revenue will 2x 2026."
- "FY'28 AI revenue will 2x 2027."
- "FY'28 EPS will be greater than $30."
Additionally, the Street '25-'28 consensus:
- GAAP EPS: +78% CAGR
- Revenue: +62% CAGR
- FCF: +71% CAGR
Yeah, I'm interested. This company is literally a cash-earnings machine.

Broadcom is on the clearance rack.
It's forward valuation has fallen to 16.7x, the cheapest in three years.

This is so true.
Also,
This is the best time to move your money from Indian stock market to US Stock market.
The dance of global stock markets is beginning to resemble the Theatre of the Absurd!
Just a few months ago, the headline could well have read:
“Indian stocks the lone dark spot in Asia as the rest of the region booms on AI optimism.”
In fact I did manage to find a Bloomberg headline saying almost exactly that…
And now, India is the lone bright spot as the rest of Asia slumps on AI anxiety!
Same markets. Same AI. Different mood.
Perhaps the only thing moving faster than stock prices these days is the narrative explaining them…
Does this India include Odisha @JM_Scindia ?
Congratulations Odias for giving away your revenue to Andhra Pradesh via India.
Please thank @MohanMOdisha and @narendramodi for this amazing opportunity 🙏
