Between 93–95% of the in-person time you’ll spend with your children will happen before they turn 18.
The final 5–7% will be stretched out over the next 50 years.
Parent with that reality in mind.

Introducing a new look for OCC! We’ve updated our logo, focusing on the cross of Christ as we continue to make him known through the church. Logos come and go, but our mission of training men and women for Christian service remains the same.

Thank you for this wonderful service, @butterball.
Stuffing should be stuffed inside the turkey, am I correct?
If I cook stuffing inside the turkey, is there a chance I could kill my guests?
I'm not saying that's necessarily a deal-breaker.

The list of things I don’t know is unending. But this one thing I do: entrust your life into the hands of Christ and he will be faithful to you. Though at times it will seem there’s no direction at all—no meaning, no feeling, no leadership nor light—put one foot in front of the other and walk by faith.
“You are with me, Jesus. You will keep me. My hope is in you. I will trust your words.”
Don’t put a timer on your trust. No “I’m giving you till January.” Just keep going. And Jesus will take you places by those ruptured roads, dry riverbeds and empty hollows you’ll live to say you wouldn’t have wanted to miss for the world.
This wonder, this miracle, this mystery of belief in this Lord we’ve never seen and yet are summoned to know is that, if we’ll trust him the merest whit and walk by faith that his words are true, we’ll realize in retrospect it was him all along we followed in the hollow precisely where he wanted us to go. The holy hollow.
Anywhere with Jesus is a place worth going.

Guys, please: toe the line, as in your toes. On a starting line. Not tow the line, like a...tugboat?
Home in on, as in a plane zeroing in on its home beacon. Not hone in, like a knife sharpener.
Rein in, as in using reins to control a horse. Not reign in, like King Charles.

Let the sweet gift of sleep be yours tonight. God is good at being God.
He is protecting you, working things out, and making good plans for you. Whisper a prayer of trust and obedience and then let the rest go.
He’s got you. He loves you. ❤️

Anyone know of any part-time remote ministry or para-church opportunities? Anything from Logos, Church Planting, Sermon/Content editing, etc?

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He make His face shine upon you.
And be gracious unto you.
May He lift up His countenance upon you.
And give you peace.
(Num. 6:24-26)
In the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.

1. Your mistakes are not too deep for God’s grace.
2. God’s goodness towards you is not connected to your goodness.
3. Jesus is not ashamed to join his life to messed up sinners.
4. Out of a great mess, came the great Messiah.

Friends, don’t let people on here keep you mad & defensive all the time. Don’t give them (or me!) that kind of power over you. It’s so miserable. Protect your peace of mind. If you spend too much time on here & scroll constantly through the lunacy, this place will make you crazy.

28 ordinations just a few months ago, now 15 more last week! Southeast Christian Church is being strategic and intentional about answering the prayer for laborers in the fields that are white for harvest. Luke 10:2

If you say: I believe in God, I trusted God, and He didn't come through; then you only trusted God to meet your agenda.
