Now I’m doing a deep dive into all the Brazilian politicians. This particular lady was the first woman elected to the Federal Senate of Brazil, the first woman Governor of Rio de Janeiro, she fought for amendments to the Constitution during the transition to democracy (y’all this woman right here put maternity leave AND equal pay into the Constitution) and was one of the people to sign the document, as she points out in this clip.
