Carson Smith, a recent I-Health graduate and admitted MS-HT student, fell in love with health technology on his way to a career as a physician’s assistant.
Smith's involvement at AHS helped him “realize there's a very large need for health technology.” ▶️ bit.ly/3ccZr4P
Direct flight from Chicago to Maine: 2 hrs. @AmericanAir: 42 hrs. But only because they took us to DC where we could take a 12 hr drive up the coast to get there ourselves. Let’s just say their customer service is… I’m not sure they’ve heard that term before.
Surfacing some old growth cypress reclaimed from (what’s left of) my old dairy barn. It’s hard to believe they used such nice wood to line the stalls.
Grad weekend part 1: Ilyse walked up on the stage today and delivered an amazing graduation address with incredible poise. So amazingly proud of all she has accomplished in high school and excited for what the future holds for her at Belmont University and beyond!
Pt 2: Leksi finished her BS in Ag Econ (Env. Policy) with a minor in Spanish in 3 years! She earned a spot on the coveted Bronze Tablet at UIUC (top 3% of the graduating class) and was recognized as a member of the campus wide Senior 100 Honorary. 3rd generation @ACESIllinois!
Check. Check. Annnnd… Check!

Seeing a lot of northern corn rootworm adults in first year corn (non-gmo, soil-applied insecticide at planting) in central IL. Root damage is moderate and no westerns to be found. @nick_seiter @ILPestSurvey
From the world of esoteric collections, here is my new (reprint) photo of James Reid (or so I was told). Eventually to be framed with the postcard of Reid Yellow Dent ears and an original plat map with his name on the ground where the variety was developed.
