Another great piece of work from the CAL project in Leeds. We can create an economy that works for people and our beautiful earth. We need a wider definition of wealth.
🚨New CAL report outlines the rationale and proposals for Leeds City Council to adopt a full CWB policy agenda to benefit the local economy and communities [a thread⤵️] #CWB4Leeds #BeyondInclusiveGrowth #BIGLeeds

What an extraordinary scandal. The most craven cowardice from Shell.
This must became a PR disaster for them.
Let’s make it so.

Brilliant to see wellbeing economy at heart of Scotland's plans. Permaculture Association is a proud member of wellbeing alliance who has done excellent work laying foundations for this.
#WEGo💥@neilcgray has been appointed Secretary for Wellbeing Economy, Fair Work and Energy in #Scotland. We're glad to see this agenda being prioritised and look forward to supporting the co-creation of #WellbeingEconomy #policies in any way we can.

Bold commitment to #ClimateAction - impressive! Runner says no to competing for GB in Australia over flight climate concerns theguardian.com/environment/…
Great work from @OurFutureLeeds and Leeds City Council. Our analysis suggests this may be the most ambitious local plan from any council in England. Very pleased to have contributed lots of #permaculture thinking & links to sustainability practices. From #Leeds? read & respond!
Leeds City Council are proposing ambitious changes to their local planning policy in response to the climate emergency.
We need to show our enormous support via their consultation by 19th December!
We want a #ClimateLocalPlan. 🌿

Really proud of all the work that has gone into these events - from Kath in the staff team to all the brilliant organisers locally. Try to get along to an event near you. #MyGreenCommunity @CfF_Communities #permaculture

This is seriously controversial & based on partial reading of evidence. If farming is wholly classes as 'extractive' then all my experience of #permaculture and #agroecology is wrong?
"The most damaging farm products? Organic, pasture-fed beef and lamb" theguardian.com/environment/…
Everyone that manages land in the UK would benefit from watching this 11 min video:

Inspiration from Don Tipping, Oregon USA.
Imagine applying this across the UK.
No #drought, increased #water health, resilient cropping and #biodiversity. #permaculture
Essentially an application of Keyline Planning, a water design and management process developed by PA Yeomans in Australia, and a big inspiration for #permaculture and RegenAg
A very important piece of research - its not farming or nature - we can design land to do both. I'd love to see a study like this tracking biodiversity benefits of a #permaculture designed #agroecological farm - we can provide yields, soil health, biodiversity and jobs
