Update re @skytv. They called 1 day after contract expired with a deal far cheaper than lowest previous retention deal I'd rejected & much less than I had been paying. 27 year VIP status gone. Assuming they come thru with the deal promised I'll "return". So much hassle

After 27 yrs with @skytv & paying a fortune, they wouldn't budge on price of what I wanted this time, so I cancelled, as of today. I was sorry at first but I'm now just thinking of the ££ I've saved & the freedom to pick & choose. They cld have kept me but in the end they didn't

Dear @manairport . Re the cyberattack, you say the data accessed "includes" the listed categories. I want to know all the data regarding my interactions with the airport which, as a frequent flyer, are many, have been accessed. I won't be specific on here. Please contact me by DM

Well @British_Airways as longtime loyal customers it's galling to lose gold status on 31 March. I've 17200 tier pts this yr, over 2x needed for silver, a big outlay of loyalty for a retail flyer, but just fall short of gold. 10000 wasted tier pts which cld be earned elsewhere?

Our New Years' Eve dinner trio - Ch Lynch Bages 1983 (been waiting a long time to open that), Ch Leoville Barton 2002 and Ch Beychevelle 2005 (after being so impressed with it on Christmas day). First, a trip to the pub for a pre-dinner beer. Happy New Year to you all

Happy Christmas everyone. Our Christmas meal wine this year this Ch Beychevelle '05 bought en primeur 20 years ago. Had the '99 a few years back which was also lovely. This case came out of storage a month ago and first taste it's just right. Cheers

At last achieved gold in the BA Club (formerly BA Executive Club). However, with the changes recently announced probably have to settle for silver after April 2026, but silver has always worked well for me. In the meantime I'm going to bask in the glow of gold 😎

The moment of truth for our Christmas Day wine and this Ch Rauzan-Segla '95 that we bought en p 28 years ago and saw for the first time 6 weeks ago is marvellous. Hoped it would be as we've been enjoying the '07 recently but this is much better. Patience rewarded. Happy Holidays

Happy holidays. Christmas morning, on home "cheffing" duties today. First one up, feeding the cat and having a quiet cup of tea before the mayhem starts. Calculating the turkey cooking time

Hi! I'm migrating to #bluesky. My bluesky address is a pinned tweet. If I follow you here & you're on bluesky please reach out so I can re-follow. This isn't political it's bc I can no longer see the people I follow or topics I like amongst the 100s of angry tweets I don't want

Noticed a great new feature on #Tesla today - it notes where average speed cams are and as you pass each gives live av speed data and distance to next cam

Today off to ALC. B38M EI-IJE. Usually fly into VLC but for various reasons decided not to this time. Turns out probably a lucky decision. But need to get to Valencia for an appointment next week. Currently it's looking challenging
